+Chetan Kakkar Yes, looks like I misunderstood the video. I thought they were proving that after revealing A, you always have >50% chance of winning. That's not always true for non-uniform distributions. But they proved that before revealing A the chances of winning are >50%.

+LonelyCows Irrational numbers can be thought of as logarithmic sums in the way you expressed them, and those always approach a limit, even if it would take infinite efforts to find what said limit is in some cases.

+jizaye Hey, walkietalkie74 made me see light, I now know you can eliminate the whole of May and June from Albert's first statement. I am not reading your full comment at the moment as I want to go back and work it out myself. My son has been telling me about this puzzle for a while, never got the time to look at it, I only attempted it yesterday, and I was so convinced I was right :) cheers.

+relworP Do you know cooling towers? those are pretty much hyperbolic (negatively curved) so you can use their space more efectively and such. You use it a lot in building complicated structures

Instead of assigning {0,1,...,6,7}, wouldn't it be better to give points according to the distribution of the quality? So if it is Gaussian distributed, then something like: {-2, -1, -0.4, -0.1,+0.1,0.4, 1, 2}
