I came here only because of great reviews. Lovely greeting in the door, luckily got a table straight away but then the waitress was the worst. She was probably overloaded with work (busy Saturday night) but was slow, irritated and argumentative. We ended up having an argument regarding the bill (my bill had already been settled by another customer), she took me to the back service area next to the kitchen with staff running past us and the temperature was boiling. In the end I paid it again just to get out of there. Am not recommending this place to anyone.

This bar is warm, inviting and classic. Always packed after 5 p.m., be ready to pounce on a bar seat or wait for a table. The wait, however, is worth it. Fireplaces are set behind the marble bar, high, comfortable seats at both high-top, lounge and table levels and fast service from knowledgeable bartenders. This is the perfect spot for an after work glass of wine and cheese.

The staff here is amazing - they're a little bit older, but they make you feel super comfortable and like they're your aunt or uncle. The food items here are very pricey for what they are. But we LOVED the tenderloin carpaccio ($26) and ahi tuna tartare ($21) and always come back for it.

Food - excellent. Cocktails - well-poured. Service - absolutely, positively sucks. Waiter could not have been more inattentive or uninterested in his customers. Disappeared for 15 minutes after we asked for check. Asked second time, no joy. Had to walk to hostess station to ask another waiter chatting with her to do it. That worked. It shouldn't have to come to that. Definitely not Fairmont standards.Very disappointing.

A colleague took me to this place for a dinner meeting and it's got character in spades.i I t looks like it was some kind of old cigar bar. Their sausage and ricotta cheese pizza was great. This goes on the list of restaurants to take friends and family to.

The bar here is so gorgeous that I would come for it alone. Stepping into the restaurant/kitchen area is like stepping into a begone era of decadence with its high ceiling, decorated walls and big leather bar seats. I've only been to the bar for drinks and snacks and can highly recommend both. We ordered bread expecting the usual crispy cut slices but got a freshly pan baked loaf smothered in butter - very delicious! The staff are amazingly attentive and friendly as well.

Fancy pants bar off the Fairmont Copley Hotel. Usually I only hit it up for a quiet, sophisticated night of drinking wine, but feel free to grab a spirit or beer. The ambiance is high-end, upscale, like the place you would take your parents after getting your MBA or taking your colleague out for retirement.

We went for Sunday brunch with 2 friends. The service was incredibly slow and not attentive (ex: our water was filled only twice, despite it being empty 90% of the meal). The food was mediocre. I had an egg frittata that's only flavor was the goat cheese on top (which the waitress confused with parmesan when I asked whether there was cream in the dish). My fiance had the corned beef hash, which wasn't very flavorful either. The servings were small, considering the price...which is okay if the quality isn't that of a well plated Denny's meal. Perhaps lunch is better, as it started to fill up as we were leaving...or maybe people were just coming for drinks and the nice decor.
