Friend: How does Google make money from Android? Do they sell Android?
Me: No, Android is free. It's those apps installed on Android, especially preloaded apps.
Friend: So OEMs pay money to Google for bundling its apps?
Me: No, Google actually pays money to OEMs to bundle its apps.
Friend: What? (a totally confused face and a slight pause.)
Me: Google makes money mainly from advertising on search and other apps.
Friend: Okay, but how much money can they make with ads?! (huh face, with a smile)
Me: Android has over a billion active users. Just imagine if Google displays $1 worth ads to each user in a single day. That is one billion dollars in a single day.
Friend: Oooohhh maai gaawd.
I particularly loved that look on his face at the end.

Nexii for life!
That being said, is TouchWiz removing their bloatware now?
That's right, no.
Then why do app purchasers ask for a refund on an app that was bought, let's say, 2 years ago, claiming that it's not longer useful for them?
Something to think about.
