Everyone has gone a bit quiet. Is it time demands or have people encountered other roadblocks?

One aspects of #teachtheweb that I'm struggling with a bit is remixing the work of strangers. It's a slightly intimidating thing to do (not to mention posting the results publicly) and the activities seem to be increasingly focusing on this...

Good to check in, I have time constraints too at the moment. I agree, remixing takes more time to do - but instead when I am pushed for time I might look out for interesting links.

A-mazing visualisations of the #teachtheweb  Twitter chat. Looks like these were created using Martin Hawksey's TAGSExplorer which is a neat tool and pretty easy to use.

I took some before and after screenshots of our Twitter visualization (before and after our live chat). You can see the crazy network building and connections happening!

2 great resources (produced by Carl Clayton) linked to in this Public Libraries News post:

- The economic value of public libraries
- Value of public library services
The above eye-catching headline is not about libraries generally, nor the average time left for paid members of staff (although it feels like it) but the window of opportunity that public libraries have with e-books before things are settled. An important article looks at the subject in some depth from different points of view. In these hard-nosed times, one of the key weapons libraries have of defending their worth is to point out their economic...

Hi,

I know I'm a bit late to the #teachtheweb  party, but I made (half) an intro page in Thimble https://thimble.webmaker.org/p/lq24/. Looks like it will be a great tool for teaching HTML/CSS so hoping to get a chance to play with it some more and possibly brave some remixing.
Kate Lomax. Some kind of librarian/web developer hybrid. This is a working draft of an intro page for #teachtheweb. First time using Thimble (clearly!). Last time using Thimble (never!). "The Ninja, as you know, operates by stealth. And so, case in point: I put out records... no one hears them!

I like this kind of transparency, Unglue.it seems to be getting lots of things right.
