In the ownership and efficiency #literature, there are different perspectives such as #agency-theory, property-rights theory and public choice theory to discuss the relationship between these conceptions. These theories suggest different perspectives with a common argument, which draws attention to the fact that private ownership is superior to public ownership concerning efficiency of resource allocation (Tiemann, Schreyögg & Busse (2012).
