A new 3-day street photography workshop in Mumbai in October 2015 has been just added to the schedule.
For those who can’t afford a week off work to join one of my regular workshops there is a chance now to experience all the fun and education condensed into three busy days in this fascinating metropolis!
To make it fuller there will be only three participants, making it a very personal adventure. 2-4 October 2015 #streetphotography

I am slowly working on a personal project about Varanasi, the spiritual capital of India, one of the world's oldest cities and the holiest city in Hinduism. The lanes of the Old City and the ghats along the Ganges provide unlimited photo opportunities. It is definitely one of my favourite places in the world. I keep on returning there and each time bring back home fond memories and interesting photographs. I have just returned from a two-week long stay there and have quite a few new images to go through.
Here is a current selection of the images on my website, I will let you know once it is updated: http://www.maciejdakowicz.com/cities/varanasi/

There are quite a few new images in the Funfair page of the Sonepur Mela story on my website. Check it out: http://www.maciejdakowicz.com/sonepur-mela/sonepur-mela-funfair/
After celebrating Kartik Purnima pilgrims go back to their towns and villages and Sonepur Mela transforms itself from a religious event into one of Asia largest cattle fairs. Apart from the animals countless goods and services are offered and traded, such as clothing, beauty products, food, electronics and cars. Together with commercial activities there are many entertainment options available. A festive, carnival atmosphere prevails - giant Ferris wheels, numerous rides, wells of deaths, circuses and various performance shows offer amusement for families, children, women and men.
