Humans are a short-sighted bunch. I will think twice about eating fish in the future.
A new report by Oceana exposes nine U.S. fisheries that throw away half of what they catch, and kill dolphins, sea turtles, whales, and more in the process.

Not that Japan cares what we think about the slaughter of 1000's of dolphins but doing nothing, is well, doing nothing!

We should have high speed broadband any way we can get it. I would be interested in knowing what lobbying groups are behind this.

I find a good mechanic and they know they will work on my car every time it breaks. My previous mechanic had to retire to get rid of me. I really like this place. They have been in business for many years which means people come back, which means they are satisfied. He replaced an alternator for me, for a little less than what he originally quoted. It is warrantied for parts and labor. I picked the kind of alternator that I wanted, he kept me posted along the way. They also did it pretty quickly. They are not shade tree mechanics as another poster said, they have a shop full of test equipment that I don't understand and don't want to. But they explain what is broken and what it really takes to fix it. They don't serve latte's and scones, who cares, they fix cars and do it well.

This company is great, they even walked up to the house to get the trash out of my bin when I forgot it was trash day one time. They also recycle!!! Pretty well maintained trucks.

My pickup truck suddenly decided it wouldn't start. The Service department towed it at a reasonable price. I told the service manager I thought it might be the fuel pump and he said he wanted to look elsewhere for a known fuel pump relay switch problem with these trucks. I was hopeful but expected a big bill. He could have replaced my fuel pump, charged me a bunch and I never would have known all that it really needed was the switch reset. Honesty is hard to find when it comes to auto mechanics. I was impressed and will return. A good relationship with a mechanic is sometimes as important as that of a doctor. Thanks Patrick and crew!
