"The Galaxy Guides Us Home"

I think this might be my favorite new AstroPhotograph I have taken. I have been trying to achieve this shot for a long time now. The hardest part of the process, was finding a road that not only was in area of complete and total darkness, but a road where I could take a panorama and not be bothered by car headlights. It was also a challenge to find a road pointing in the perfect direction to be completely symmetrical with the shape and bend of the Milky Way.

The image was taken on Armour Ranch RD off the 154 Freeway near Santa Ynez, California. This area is completely underrated and unrecognized for stargazing and galaxy watching. Some of the people who live there do not even realize the gems that the sky above them hold come nightfall.

The panorama is composed of 12 images taken side by side, with 2 rows of 6. This was done to achieve the very wide perspective that you are seeing in the photograph. The image represents over 180 degrees in our field of vision. Some minor color correction, noise reduction, and contrast have been applied to the photo; no other heavy manipulation or Photoshop has been done to alter this image.

I can see the government spending money and abandoning a program for political gain....

In the wake of NSA leaker Edward Snowden’s recent revelations, the Obama administration may be willing to backtrack on some of its more notorious surveillance policies, Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Oregon) told reporters.

Pretty amazing what can be done in 3 months...
1. I'm excited to play.
2. It's cool how they allow anyone to create in-game items and get paid.

#Dailychart: The financial crisis and recession have hit countries differently. In Britain, the slump pummelled pay rather than jobs. Real wages are now 9% below their peak. In other recent recessions, wages began to ascend after about nine months of declines; this time they have continued to fall over the past 21 months. Today’s chart compares real wages with peak wage during recessions in Britain http://econ.st/14SouvX

This is a good documentary about Tibet. It covers history, religion, past and present politics, and culture.

Based on the evidence presented this is the correct verdict. "Reasonable doubt" is a tough standard for the prosecution to meet. In our system, Reasonable doubt should probably be found even more often than it already is (marijuana for urban youth).

Jury finds George Zimmerman not guilty

A Florida jury found George Zimmerman not guilty in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin on Saturday, acquitting him of all charges.

The six-member, all-female jury deliberated for 15 hours before reaching the verdict.

Zimmerman was accused of shooting an unarmed 17-year-old Martin last year. Zimmerman pleaded self-defense in the shooting, which sparked a national debate about race and profiling.

Quite a few flights in my couple of years in Tulsa. Everyone was always nice, even security. Only problem is the cost of flights =[

The 27-30 score on this is probably the most accurate score of any restaurant I've seen in Tulsa. -- This includes the scores on the Yelp and Urbanspoon.

Of the schools I've interacted with (attending or helping brothers/cousins/friends with things), TU definitely ranks among the best in terms of quality professors and staff - helping with financial aid.

I always call ahead and ask if Autumn is there. They tell me how long the wait would be (if there is one). I usually go right in or wait < 5 minutes on a weekday.

I don't know why the scores would be so low here. I bought Groupons that the Ron's over on 21st and Sheridan(?) wouldn't take, so I had to drive over here to use them. It's a much smaller place, but the two ladies working there are really friendly and attentive. The burgers are really good, and the portions of fries are ridiculous (even though I prefer a crispier fry). -- and "decor" is a somewhat unfair category for a semi-fast food place like this. It's just good food and friendly service.
