Music brings people together in powerful ways. Do you believe that listening to music alone is the same as being together? How would this be different in communities without personal living devices? What does it mean for #folk music? #Musi   #fridayreads  http://jomichaelscheibe.org/how-music-brings-us-together-even-when-youre-alone/

Music has the power to induce feelings of connection even when you're listening all alone. When you're tuned into online streaming services, it evokes the same reaction as being present in concert. Fascinating! #music   #fridayreads   #MusicScience   #Musiceducation   #Educators

Eighty students came from all over Europe to work hard and present a excellent concert this past March in Germany. Four Days of Rehearsal - Brahms, Mendelssohn, Gjeilo, Forrest, Kirchner, Whitacre - A total of Eight Compositions in four Different Languages. Very proud of these students, their Accompanist, Hope Matthews and her organizational team as well as Alina - who was the choral supervisor. #DoDDs   #DODEA   #Choir   #Chorale   #MusicFestival
