I'm fascinated by the all writing on why Google+ is a solution for internal collaboration. There's some value for SMB (hangouts over skype etc) but if you have experience with internal collaboration (not shiny tools, not external communities, not social media), you'll see why circles would not scale for work related grouping, as is.

The argument around G+ being good for folks who don't have an IT department falls flat as well. There's plenty of SaaS related enterprise social software providers that offer a solutions designed specifically around how people collaborate at work. And the Google Apps Market place offers API integration for integrating external enterprise social networks, if you use Google Apps for your business

I don't think I've ever taken the time to see so many about/bio pages on a social network to see what background folks have when they make such declarations.
