What do you think of the tax break that Corbett and the state legislature are offering to Shell?

Neo-liberal economics have stressed the importance of the rule of law. Governor Corbett's negotiations in favor of financial interests, which have substantially underwritten his political campaigns and which spend vast amounts on lobbying, represent a turn away from once dominant neo-liberal economic idea and political policies. The new-regime Governor Corbett champions is a model of financial oligarchy fusing state power with global financial interests over market price-mechanisms and the rule of law.  The costs incurred to present and future citizens of Pennsylvania cannot be measured simply in economic terms. The erosion of democracy for the foreseeable future makes this deal a harbinger of greater harm to the Commonwealth inevitable.

I hope the people who voted for this current government are happy with all of the cuts being made so the state can "afford" to provide these wonderful tax breaks.
