Saw the space station fly by last night thanks to this app and Edie's eagle eyes. Recommended!

In honor of Jan Kuehnemund:

Vixen - Edge Of A Broken Heart

To me, it holds up remarkably well. Co-written by Richard Marx, who really should've done more hair metal back in the day.

This is one of the strangest, most wonderful videos I've ever seen. There's so much to ponder.

It prompted me to listen to Purple Rain, which I'd never done. It holds up brilliantly.

Go Sounders!

Here's hoping we don't trade Estrada next winter. Sadly, our hat trick scorers don't have a great record of longevity.

This band is from Athens, AL, and they are getting a ton of buzz. Their first song is free today. Definitely worth it at that price!

For those of you who are curious about what I do all day, this article does as good a job as any I've seen about imparting the flavor of computer programming to a non-technical audience. It's split 50/50 between technical stuff and culture stuff, and the culture stuff is great too.

Joe Posnanski knocks it out of the park again. I wish he'd quit writing about sports and write full-time about life.

(I would quibble about finding cheap, authentic Italian restaurants in Times Square, but that would be agains the spirit of the thing.)
