Eh... All we hear are the same old excuses from this guy regarding the game balance. The truth of the matter is that the Palladium system needs a serious overhaul, and Siembieda is either too lazy or too egotistical to do it.
Don't get me wrong, Palladium games were fun... when I was a teenager and needed an alternative to 2nd Edition AD&D, which had become pretty stale. As years went by, though, and with the release of Rifts, the Palladium system just got bulkier; the content diluted by generic supplements featuring the same old stuff made bigger and more overpowered.
It took me getting into other systems to really appreciate how poorly designed and thought out the Palladium RPG system really is. If you want a real universal role-playing system that can actually handle characters and gameplay across genres, GURPS is the way to go. As a kid playing Palladium RPGs, I would often dismiss GURPS, but I now realize it's the system my friends and I should've been playing all along.
