This place is the BEST in Colorado! They have top instructors, that know what they are doing with a great curriculum. I highly recommend this place. This place is also very family friendly. They help support one another and are a great outlet for anyone and any age!

I first want to say that I have been training in BJJ and MMA for years, have trained with a lot of people, and I will say that Steve Hordinski is the best BJJ instructor I have ever had the chance to train with. That is in no way a knock on anyone I previously have trained with, but a compliment to Steve, he is that good at teaching BJJ. To be a good instructor not only do you have to be good at BJJ, but you have to be able to teach. As someone who was working towards my masters in education I can say that Steve knows how to teach. A lot of my teammates who have posted reviews have spoken to the family atmosphere we have at the gym, and I have a personal experience that should let anyone reading this know what we are saying is in fact the truth. I have been fighting cancer since 11/12/2010, so I had to stop training where I had been before that. About 5 months ago I told Steve what was going on as far as my health goes and he has supported me 100% in my goal to not only be on the mat again, and even compete again. For that I will never be able to thank him enough. What was really amazing is from the first day I was there I was treated like a brother. My teammates there have done everything from offer to take me to doctors appointments, make me dinners, and are just there to pick me up if I am feeling sick or something like that. So what people are saying about the atmosphere as far as being friends and family is 100% true. If that is something you are looking for in BJJ look no further from here. Steve teaches pure Gracie Jiu Jitsu in the way Helio Gracie intended it to be taught. The success that we are having can be found in the amount of medals and trophies we take home at every grappling tournament we enter, and the fact that there are about 200 students just at the Littleton location alone (we have 4 gyms in the greater Denver area). We are an elite team, have the best coaches, and the closest knit team of any team I have ever been a part of. Thanks, Jason Miller

I want to thank the Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy for everything. The instruction is top notch, the academy is clean, there is plenty of mat space, and you feel welcome from day one. If you are looking for an academy in the south metro area make sure you stop by RGJJ. One thing I appreciate probably above everything else is the focus on self defense at the Relson Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy. Other academies I’ve been to are more sport jiu jitsu focused, but at RGJJ not only do you get the fun of training jiu-jitsu but you are prepared in the event a situation should arise where you have to protect yourself or your family. Lastly I want to say thank you to the RGJJ family for the flexibility and understanding they provided me in deciding to put my training on hold. When I start training again I will be right back at the Relson Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy.

I've been training BJJ for 10 yrs now and have trained with many different Academies, many different affiliations. The thing that sets Professor Steve apart from others is his dedication to improving the martial art of Jiu-Jitsu, not simply getting better at it. He is a guardian of pure Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, and a natural bi-product of that responsibility is growth in technique, instruction and character. I recommend Relson Gracie Littleton to anyone who is interested in the fascinating world of Jiu-Jitsu, whether for self-defense, competition or casual study.

I trained for a number of years at another local academy, and when that no longer felt like home I decided to walk away from training -possibly permenantly- and focus on other things that made me happy. Some other friends who had been training at the Relson Academy in Littleton had been trying to get me to come in and at least meet Steve and see how I liked the environment. After my recent bad experiences, I was reluctant, but I finally went in and liked it right away. It was friendly, and had a family feel to it. Right away I was welcomed in and treated like I had been there for ever. I felt like I had found another home where I could continue my jiu-jitsu journey, and I've been there ever since.

Simply put, Relson Gracie Academy in Littleton is incredible! I had done extensive research on the different academies in the Metro area and RGA in Littleton was the clear choice. From the moment we(my GF and I) walked in we were made to feel at home and welcome. On our first day we were worried about the possibility of ego in a place like this, however, the second we walked in our fears were dispelled by the amicable and welcoming attitudes from the instructors and the students at RGA. Steve Hordinski is an amazing instructor and does a great job of demonstrating the movements and making sure everyone understands them. The atmosphere here is that of a tight knit community or family. I have been working out for several years and since starting at RGA it has whipped me into the best shape of my life. This is not a McDojo as another reviewer wrote, this is a legitimate Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy where you will be taught the best Jiu-Jitsu in the state. I couldnt be happier with this academy and can say without hesitation that Jiu-Jitsu and Relson Gracie Academy of Littleton have change my life. Whether you are looking for a place to start learning Jiu-Jitsu, are working towards improving your existing Jiu-Jitsu, looking to learn self defense or just want to get in better shape, this is the place to do it.
