The BBB is not a govt. Entity, nor do they have any power over any company. They are a for profit company. They will give bad ratings to companies with no basis of fact that any company has done any wrong doing. They actually charge companies to become a member with the BBB and will not post any good reviews unless you pay to be a member. They on the other hand will in fact post all unsubstantiated ratings without any investigation.. This is actually raqueteering on some level. Why did the mafia get charged and prosecuted for schemes like this but this organization can operate and defame any company they wish just because they are not a member? Seems to me like the protection raquet of old days. There is no need for protection service but we will create a need where none exists... Seems like a raquet to me. People can go and post any rating they want without any investigation or any fact of wrong doing without any reprocussions whatsoever. Can cause a company to loose revenue just by saying a negative post. Google is also guilty of this. In my opinion the BBB is a fraud!!!! They should be shut down. Pay for a membership with this company and get what for it? I wish I could give them and F, but go try and rate them, see what happens. Oh wait, cant rate them... Hypocrisy!!!!

China wok in Lafayette, La. is a rip off. They are charging ppl higher prices for the food than whats on the menu when you call in a delivery order. when the menu prices are mentioned, she procedes to say its an old menu. But how?!?!?, When I receive the same menu with my delivery orders always and not to mention this is the menu that was given to me the day before. And when you ask for management they hang up on you. Something is not right about this business. Ive also noticed its always the girl working on the weekends. Always!!!!! people are getting ripped off and this is sad!!!!! I hope this company is investigated!!!!!

A customer complaint was dealt with and explained to the BBB. The end result was the customer was satisfied with the resolution. We still get a bad rating for a satisfied resolution. The BBB uses their system to extort money from businesses.

After spending over $23,000 on a botched job on our classic 1935 car at a business with an "A" rating, we contacted the BBB for help. After many rounds of correspondence with the business and phone calls to the BBB, the collision business was given an "F" rating by the BBB! Big deal!!! We got no restitution and the complaint was never resolved! He was punished with an "F" rating and we were told that was bad for a business! OOOOOO All the BBB did was waste our time! We had to incur further expense to have the botched job repaired by a reputable business who also had an "A" rating! This was really an "A+" place! Now 2 years later, we noticed that the botched repair place now has a "C+"! We were told by the BBB that because time had gone by his score went up. (So if a pedophile molests your child, 2 years after the fact all is forgiven an he is not listed as a sex offender?????) The establishment in question went from an A to a F and now at a C+. The BBB DOES NOT PROTECT THE PUBLIC. THEY ARE POWERLESS IN HELPING. THEY ONLY SHARE INFORMATION ABOUT SCAMS THAT THEY GET INFO ABOUT FROM THEIR NATIIONAL OFFICE. BEWARE AREA PEOPLE! THE ACREDITED BUSINESSES MAY NOT BE ALL THAT AND A BAG OF CHIPS!

Caution to anyone in the Lafayette, LA area. If Dr. Curtis Roy and associates is your dentist, consider a second opinion for their treatment plan. I am paying $6500 on dental work for my frail 79 year old mother that will NEVER be done, thanks to CARE credit. The impressions were the shady part...as frail as she was, with her cardiac history, they still recommended impressions for a partial upper bridge and full set of dentures for lower. I asked them not to proceed until after her cardiologist appt 3 days later. When her cardiologist said "NO!", I called them that same day..I was willing to pay for the dental appt, X-rays,and the materials used to make impressions. They called me 3 weeks later to say the bridge and dentures were ready. Two weeks later, I received a bill for almost $11,000 from care credit! Called Care Credit, and only the dentist's offfice can get my Care credit cancelled.Dentists was willing to credit my account only for the extractions and actual placement of bridges! So now my bill is just $7000(interest is already accruing!)
