Russ Mirov is a system architect at Google X, where he is currently the bio-telemetry wearable EE lead at Google Life Sciences (GLS). Prior to that he was the EE lead for Google Glass. He has also worked in Google's Android and Platforms Hardware groups. Previously, as a Senior Distinguished Engineer at Sun Microsystems, he was the system engineer for the SparcStation-20 and SunBlade-1000 workstations and the chief engineer for the Supernova family of systems based on the Rock processor. He was also a hardware engineer at Tandem Computers in Cupertino and a member of the Technical Advisory Boards of QuickLogic Corp. and Multigig. Russ holds more than twenty patents relating to clock generation, power management, and signal integrity. Russ is a hands-on engineer who has personally powered up first silicon for more than 20 processors and ASICs, and more PCBs than he can keep track of.
