I received my PH.D. in Communication from the University of Missouri - Columbia in 1998. My primary creative efforts lie in the area of interactive media design as it relates to cognitive science. In particular, I'm interested in the design of interactive media environments which communicate in interesting yet comfortable ways. My creative interests include: interaction design, digital storytelling, and natural light photography. Prior to my career as a college professor, I spent over 12 years working in live television production serving in every capacity from studio camera operator through electronic graphics artist to on-air director.
