Twice as thick as my regular ribs these heavy duty oak ribs are great for moving clay quickly.

I enjoy the cleaning process of wood fired pots. It reconnects me to the event of the firing.

It's the little details that excite me in brush making. I have wrapped the bamboo ferrule on this paint brush to add a richness to its visual presence. #brushmaking   #paintbrushworkshop   #bamboo

I am always curious where the iron rich shino goes when the cup gets hit by a lot of ash during a firing. This cup had an iron rich shino on it and is now mostly white.

When I wood fire a cup I feel it is a collaborative endeavor between the kiln and myself. Each kiln has unique abilities and it is a joy to see them played out on my work.
