I received a phone call informing me I needed to schedule an appointment to have my ignition fixed due to a recall. I scheduled my appointment for the next day. After I dropped my car off and it had been at the dealership for nearly 3 hours, I received a phone call from the service department informing me that they did not have the part to fix my ignition. As I picked my car up, I reminded the employees at the dealership that they had, in fact, initiated this appointment without knowing they had the part to fix it. I accepted an apology and a promise to call me when the part came in, and that this would take approximately one week. This was two weeks ago, and I have yet to hear anything. So I would say I'm pretty frustrated.

Went in because my brakes were grinding on my silverado. They told me I needed 4 new brake pads/shoes, rear rotors and a caliper. My estimate for the Job was $860 plus tax!!! I researched the parts from multiple sources and they were around $350. The estimate was outrageous! So I decided to have my friend who's been a mechanic for years look at my truck. It turns out my front breaks and rotors only had about 50% wear and all of my calipers and shoes were fine. Rydells estimate was accurate about my rear brakes and rotors. I had my friend replace my rear brakes and rotors only taking him 1 hour in his garage. I purchased premium parts for less than $150.00. My truck is now safe and good to go. I feel that Rydell gave me an inaccurate estimate to try and get as much money out of me as possible. I tried to call back Jim Albus but his line was not in service.

I was recently in looking for a new car and had a fantastic experience. Due to my young age, it is very hard for me to actually get a car as a result of my short credit history. I walked in expecting to be denied anything I actually had a desire for (Im very picky) however, I had not expected the awesome salesman that would be assisting me that day. Brian Lucas not only found me a car but went above and beyond to make sure I was leaving the dealership with something I loved. I have no doubt that I wouldn't be driving around such a beautiful car if it weren't for Rydell Chevrolet and more importantly Brian Lucas. SOME BODY GET THE MAN A RAISE !

I had a horrible experience with Rydell. Thinking their valet service would be very convenient I called and scheduled an appointment for an oil change and to check another problem. An email confirmation was sent to my email which was nice to have but that's pretty much all they have to offer. They were 2 hours late in picking up my vehicle - they didn't even call me to let me know they were running behind. I had to call a few times to finally get someone to help me to tell me this.. I also made sure my car would be back by a specific time and they said it would be but again when it got closer to that time and I had had no phone calls or emails or anything I had to call a few times to finally get a hold of someone to tell me that they were going to be a little late getting back which in fact they were 40 minutes late in getting my car back and made me late. All that was done was an oil change and to diagnose a couple other problems which I was completely over charged and now they want to charge me an outrageous amount to fix something that isn't even wrong with my car. NEVER going to do business with Rydell again. I should have asked for a refund or a discount on this horrible service but I was sick of calling and wasting my time with them.Not being from Waterloo/Cedar Falls I thought it would be convenient because they come to my work to pick up my car but it ended up being WAY more pricey and they made me late for a prior commitment. No convenience at all.

My wife and I recently came into Rydell to look at purchasing a truck. We have purchased several vehicles over the years and have found it hard to deal with some dealerships. We came into our purchase with the mindset of seeing how well Rydell would take care of us. From the moment we came onto the lot we were pleasantly surprised not to be pressured to buy and our salesman was great to deal with. We enjoyed our experience so much that we decided to come in again a month later to look for my daughter's first car. We were fortunate to find what we were looking for and have now purchased two vehicles from Rydell over the past two months. Rydell is definitely worth looking at for your next vehicle purchase.

When our car would not start, we called Rydell for help, and Jim and Eric in the service department went to action. These two are awesome and really do care. They went the extra mile for us, which is so appreciated, because the experience can be very "character building" but in our case everything fell in place thanks them. Jim and Eric are very effective in building a positive relationship with us and better yet, in fixing our car. What Jim and Eric did for us today is very impressive, and it's what sets Rydell apart from the competition! Jim and Eric are super duper! Rydell will have our continued business!
