The U.S. Justice Department is prosecuting a False Claims Act lawsuit against a Nevada company for submitting false Medicare claims on behalf of hospice patients. The lawsuit alleges that this company submitted claims on behalf of people who were not, in fact, terminally ill, and even falsified documents to make it appear doctors saw these patients.

A company as successful as Uber should be able to take a bit of criticism without resorting to bullying journalists who express their opinion.

Being a judge is an honor and a privilege.  Members of our society deserve  professionalism and one who takes this important role in our judicial system with utmost seriousness. The television show Bad Judge was apparently canceled after complaints (and poor ratings) about the message a judge who behaves badly sends.

ATT should be commended for their campaign to reduce texting while driving. It looks like ATT is also coming out with an app that won't allow texting if you're moving more than 15 miles per hour.  These efforts to make our roads safe are admirable.

Lyft provides insurance coverage to their drivers involved in an accident, which comes into play after a tragic highway death on Halloween. In this instance, the Lyft driver was carrying a passenger, so there appears to be no question as to the applicability of Lyft's insurance coverage.

San Francisco's streets are becoming more and more dangerous for pedestrians.  To date in 2014, there have been 14 pedestrian deaths and we're on track to have the highest number of deaths since 2007, which is alarming.  We need to do more to reduce these tragedies.
