Tacos place abound in Chicago but this ranks high on my list. The portions are bigger than Big Star, 2 per order, and the pricing is good. I love their flavor combinations and the house margaritas are great. It's a good casual spot, and always seems to be busy, but not so busy you can't get seated relatively fast. If you're having trouble deciding try the garlic shrimp tacos.

I have to say...I had some really high hopes for the tacos here. I was pleasantly surprised, though, by the deep fried cheese curds and chili. I mean..WOW! The cheese curds are ooey gooey and goes so well with the chili at the bottom. The tacos... Fish tacos: I think this was the group's favorite out of all the tacos. The filet is huge, and the batter makes it nice and crispy on the outside, and hot tender and flakey on the inside. Shrimp tacos: This was probably my second fav, since there was so much flavor. Carnitas tacos: It was a little on the sweet side, but you can't really go wrong with carnitas. Ribeye tacos: I was a little disappointed in the ribeye tacos. The meat wasn't as flavorful as I hoped and it was actually a little dry. :( I'll just have to go get my fix at L'Patron. They have some LEGIT tacos there.

A far cry from traditional Mexican cuisine, Antique Taco is great place to stop by for a quick and casual modern Mexican meal. Their margarita quarts are refreshing and unique, and the rosemary version is a must try! I would also highly recommend the Chili Cheese Curds. Depending on how busy it is, the service is a bit mixed between cafeteria style and having a server. Also, this is a very casual restaurant so don't worry about dressing to impress. Hipsters rejoice!

Great place to eat with a nice big outdoor seating area. It's community style, so be prepared to make some friends. Price is a bit expensive, but typical for the neighborhood. Would recommend the shrimp and fish tacos - very flavorful and delicious. They've also got margaritas by the quart or pint!

Great tacos! Their tacos are a little bigger than Big Stars and I never have to wait to get food here. I think the most amazing thing on the menu is their horchata milk shake. They have amazing guac and their staff is cool as hell.

A modern taco spot from chef Rick Ortiz. Carnitas tacos are to die for. Well worth the price. Best to grab tacos and margarita and go sit outside (bench seating). Margarita is served in a glass tube pitcher with fresh rosemary and it is yum (and will knock you out, so be careful). 5 stars for food.

Casual taqueria with delectable bites. Be sure to checkout the daily special tacos. Downside is you can only tacos two at a time and they are closed on Mondays. Salads, margaritas, and boozy horchata are all really good.

'Variety is the spice of life' - Unknown... but definitely not said by Antique Taco. Let me start this out by saying the Fish Tacos are phenomenal, for the first 4-5 bites at least, after that I was just left wanting to try something else. $8 for two tacos which is reasonable especially considering they are quite filling. Two large pieces of warm crunchy fish topped with cabbage, green onions, sesame seeds and a tiny smidge of sauce. Not sure what ingredient to attribute it to but the tacos had a distinct smoke flavor which I really enjoyed. In my life I will probably not cure cancer, but I will make it one of my life's mission to convince Antique Taco to sell single tacos enabling its loyal customers to try multiple flavors, after all, variety is the spice of life!
