My 13 year old son went to a lock-in 2 nights ago at Blazer Tag. He had a headache and sought to find a quiet spot to get away from the noise for a few minutes. The staff actually hid his laser pack and denied it, which caused the officer there to harass my son about not having his pack on. Then my son was ejected in the middle of the night without calling me and had to find his own way home at age 13. I would never send a child of mine back there for any reason. Terrible management and unsafe.

Response from the owner - 2 months ago
In response to Ms. Harte’s review, we humbly suggest that she is very mistaken about the events that took place. We have video surveillance that clearly shows what actually happened and have offered to show Ms. Harte the video(s) as well. Instead of addressing the specifics and potentially publicly shaming the young man, we would rather assure the public that: 1) Per City of Austin curfew, Blazer Tag policy and standard regulations set by our insurance company – we do not allow any one “under age” unescorted from our lock-ins except in emergency situations, of course. On the rare occasion when, out of concern for all our guests, we need to eject a minor from a lock-in, we have the Deputy on premises escort the minor and wait with them until an adult (proving 18 years or older with driver’s license) picks up that minor. This has happened 3 times in 16+ years of business. 2) As posted throughout the building multiple times inside our business, we have video surveillance recording at all times when we have people in the building. When needed, we share that video with the authorities, to parents/chaperons, to people disputing what they bought, etc. The surveillance video eliminates most he-said/she-said kind of problem. 3) We have been in the family-fun business for over 16 years. We strive to create a safe and fun environment for our guests of all ages. Rules for games, rules for appropriate behavior, etc. are all outlined inside our business. We love our jobs, the place we work, and truly appreciate our guests and patrons. Blazer Tag works hard to make sure all customers have fun and enjoy their time here. We also know that there are always two sides of the story. We look forward to hosting lock-ins and sharing all the fun that could be had during them each time one is planned.

My daughter had a birthday party here tonight and it was absolutely fantastic. The employees, especially Lauren and Vincent, were all so very nice and you could tell they really enjoyed their jobs. They all went out of their ways to make sure her birthday was fun. The blazer tag arena was great and my daughter loved the sky trail. We will definitely be back and I will be recommending this venue to everyone I know.

Best laser tag space in the vicinity, hands down. Sky trail is also fun. Video games were too few for me and my boy's tastes. Overall, though, fun place and good staff.

Had a lot of fun here for a work event. They were pretty disorganized but everyone had a lot of fun.

The place is great except for customer service. The manager who's name is: Martin. He had a lot of attitude and was obviously tired from a long day. Nevertheless it doesn't give him the right to treat customers the way he did. I bring a group of 40 young people, he is upset at the moment we walk in... of course its more work! All I have to say if the general manager or owner is reading this, PLEASE do NOT put him to work at the front desk! Anyways, when I was playing the battery of my laser gun dies completely (this happened 4 times during the same game). I went afterwards to tell him what happened and how my time got wasted by going down an having to replace my gun, etc. He calls the guy to confirm, the guy confirms it was true. Then he looks at me and says with attitude: "So what do you want?" I said i wanted to inform you of the problem. Then he says: "Ok got it" Then proceeds to explain that because its a busy night, that happens. Its not supposed to happen. Thats why im paying to play a full game... He didn't say sorry on behalf the company, he didn't say let me give you another game for this one were you couldn't play the full time... nothing. I talked to the other manager and he was way nicer... at least he apologized on behalf of the company. I won't go back again and even less take a group until Martin is put in another position where he is not handling the customer service.

Blazer Tag Was The Best Birthday Last YEAR AND NOW IM GOING AGAIN !!!!

I am 23 and I remembered going here and having a good time here when I was younger. I had gotten a "buy one get one free" coupon from a student hand book and I thought it was a good time to try it again. When I arrived the place was very crowded and and all of the machines had a long line to play on. But that wasnt too bad, I figure, it just means business is good. So I got in line to purchase a blazer tag game, after waiting in line for about 20 min, one of the 3 staff standing behind the counter, doing nothing, decided to open a second register. I said I would like to use my coupon, at which point they said they decided that instead of honoring the coupon as buy one get one free; management changed it is buy one get one 30% off. I found this a little frustrating, but I decided, oh well, I guess I dont mind spending a little more than I was expecting, so I asked to purchase a game for myself and a friend. They then responded that, while it is not mentioned anywhere on the coupon, it was intended that the coupon can only be used on one person, So I can buy 2 games for myself with the second one being discounted, and my friend has to purchase separately. At this point I was frustrated and left.

This place is a lot of fun! They have a gigantic arena to play laser tag, and some fun things to do in the lobby area. The prices are kind of high, but it's still worth the visit.
