Excellent steaks... All the salad you like... Wish they had spinach instead of just iceberg... Big good bread... Eat here and the world is good...

The whiskey steak was fantastic, though very pricey. Restaurant has a nice western feel and sides were also very tasty.

I sell beef for a living, and this is the place I go on special occasions. The service is fantastic. The atmosphere is fantastic. I can't say enough about the beef and the salad bar. There isn't a better restaraunt in Omaha.

I tried this restaurant with my girlfriend knowing it would be high priced, but I wanted to try the food and see for myself what the commotion was about. Most of the negative reviews are right on target in my opinion: Overpriced food, indifferent and haughty staff. Go to any other steakhouse in Omaha (or in the country for that matter) and you'll get a side dish with your meal...not at the Drover, you have to pay extra on top of an already hugely overpriced meal. $40 is WAY out of the ballpark for an under-cooked filet (sent it back twice just to get a 'medium steak') and too salty (because of the Whiskey marinade). There's not much else to say except I'll never eat there again. I suspect the Drover is still in business because it's a popular business expense restaurant, but I certainly don't recommend it for family dinners, dates, parties or otherwise.

I was in town on business and asked client where could I get the best steak dinner in Omaha. He sent me here and I was not disappointed!

Delicious food decent service. I've been twice. Once for the whiskey New York and once for whiskey fillet. Loaded baked potato the way to go. Only complaint about salad bar is the cherry tomatoes might as well have been heirloom as large as they were. Also, the burger ordered at the table wasn't worth getting but let's face it you don't go there for a hamburger.

When we have guests from out of town and they want steak, this is the restaurant I take them too. Locals don't usually order steak at restaurants because you can make something at home that's just as good. The Drover might be the exception because their Whiskey marinated ribeye has flavor that you just can't easily replicate.
