This is the best gyro meal you can get for 5 dollars in the city of Pittsburgh. The gyro is so big you could make 2 meals out of it plus you get a drink with it for 5 bucks.

We bring home food from The Greek Gourmet Marketplace at least once a week. The food is delicious and healthy and perfect for keeping in our fridge for fast meals when our schedules are hectic, for side dishes at dinner, and for laying out a spread for late-arriving guests. From the refrigerator case to the right when you walk into the store, some of my favorites are the HUMMUS!, particularly the plain hummus, which is extraordinarily creamy. For adventuresome hummus aficionados, there are more imaginative varieties also available. The tabouli here is always fresh -- the parsley is still sprightly, not weighed down with oil and old-tasting as is the problem with most of the tabouli available in Middle Eastern restaurants in Pgh. I am also a fan of the kale and beans, the chick pea and feta salad, and the mujaddra. We usually bring home some olives from the self-serve olive station in the middle of the store and sometimes some cookies and dates for when friends stop over for coffee. Their homemade soups (particularly the vegetarian chili and the roasted vegetable soup) are wonderful. Although I myself don't eat meat, recently when I was at the store on a Friday evening, another customer was enthusiastically recommending the gyros. The ambience at the store is friendly and welcoming. Usually the owners themselves are there helping customers and preparing food. The Greek Gourmet Marketplace has been staying open late on Friday and Saturday nights - although before making a special trip, you might want to call first to check.
