The other week I felt drawn to reread The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff. Following on from yesterdays post about how working with the seasons makes life a little more effortless, I wanted to continue the theme...

I have quoted a few paragraphs below:

"In Taoism there is this concept of Wu Wei which means "without doing, causing or making" When we learn to work with our own Inner Nature, and with the natural laws operating around us, we reach the level of Wu Wei. We operate on the principle of minimal effort.

However man has developed a mind that separates him from the world of reality, the world of natural laws. This mind tries too hard, wears itself out, and ends up weak and sloppy. Such a mind, even if of high intelligence, is inefficient. It goes here and there, backwards and forwards, and fails to concentrate on what it's doing at the moment.

Using Wu Wei, you go by circumstances and listen to your own intuition. "This isn't the best time to do this. I'd better go that way" Like that. When you do that sort of thing, people may say you have a Sixth sense or something. All it really is though, is being Sensitive to Circumstances. That's just natural."

The wisdom of Taoism and Winnie the Pooh ☺️

Living according to the natural laws is the most stress free way to live...

And as I said in my newsletter, for those of us in the southern hemisphere moving into Autumn, this is the season to be letting go...

Sunday Reminder

Love this one and it is so true - your perspective which seems so true and real can be different to someone else's for the exact same situation.

Reframing a negative situation can be eye-opening. If you need some help reframing some negativity in your life, book in for a session with me:

Gratitude Tuesday
To know it is ok to ask for help from others, we are not an island.

Why do we feel we need to do everything ourselves?
Just because we can doesn't mean we should!

This thought came to me because of a client session this week. When I was giving her homework she expressed some frustration with herself as she knew these were the things she needed to be doing, in fact, they were often what she gave her clients to do. She was frustrated with herself for not walking her talk.

I had to gently explain that we often need someone outside of ourselves to remind us, to show us, to hold us accountable. I am a Kinesiologist yet I still see another Kinesiologist when I feel I need the outside help. They don't give me earth shattering news, they just guide me back to myself.

Energetically it is so powerful because then our energy is not dispersed; trying to do everything and be everything.

Instead we can focus on our zone of genius and allow someone else to use their zone of genius to lift us up to our most powerful, peaceful, happy, purposeful state.

So if you find you are trying to do everything, can I ask you to consider delegating? This is a very powerful way to live 💛
