Small town eclectic taken to the next level. Haven't had a small plate that wasn't thoughtfully delicious. The curry salad was extraordinary. What I like about this place is that every ingredient is there on purpose. Yes, the service can be slow and negligent. No kidding, I think this place would see a huge uptick in customer satisfaction if they did a bread basket (or some food on the table) to help keep people occupied and to mop up the plate and buy the staff some time.

Took a while to get attention after sitting, once we got the menu, the waitress didn't return for at least 10 minutes. The wait for a sandwhich and soup and a salad was incredibly long. We thought about just getting up and leaving a couple times throughout the wait. The food however, was very good. Worth returning for. Only got checked on once throughout the meal. Had to flag down a waitress for a check. Horrible service, great food. Also, very mediocre atmosphere

The Brucshetta Catalan was delicious! For my entree I had the rabbit leg a bed fresh greens and a reduced balsamic. Sounded better than it was. The balsamic over powered the greens taking away from the dish. That aside I would try this place again.

Waited over 20 minutes for the prawn risotto. The waitress never check on us or explained the extra long wait. When it arrived, it was on a cold plate and the rice was crunchy, and the dish was more room temperature than hot. There were warm spots which left me wondering if the food had been microwaved. I would have complained, but the waitress again never checked on us; and at the end of the meal, she never inquired if we had enjoyed the meal. The dish was expensive, and for that price I expect a perfectly cooked food and caring service. Instead I got three room temperature prawns and cold, crunchy rice. Oh, and no, they weren't crowded. There were only two other couples in the place.

I went here with my boyfriend to get drinks and some dessert last night, and we had a pretty scary experience. First of all, the good: the waitress/bartender was very sweet and made us some delicious drinks. She was running ragged trying to wait/bartend by herself and still managed to be very friendly and helpful. The bad: Since it took a while to get our drinks, we were watching the chefs in the kitchen. The first thing we saw was a chef without gloves who put his hair up into a bun, then immediately grabbed a handful of carrot shavings to put on a salad! Then, we saw him put his finger in his mouth and touch another dish of food! All of this happened without him washing his hands. We were so grossed out that we decided not to eat and just left after our drinks. Why would you have an open kitchen if your chefs are unhygienic?? We are definitely never going back here. If you do, be aware there will probably be unwashed hands touching your food.

It has been our pleasure to dine twice at Acqua Via this past year while visiting Olympia. Love the atmosphere, contemporary/glass/crisp/clean. Both visits our service was fine. Our server was friendly and helpful with suggestions and our questions. Loved watching the female bartender at her craft! Nice work! The food was simply extraordinary! No trouble finding a gluten-free option but I wish there more because the menu is so inspired and I wish it was all for me and my g/f diet. But the rest of my party had numerous selections to choose from and everyone loved what they chose. We stayed for dessert and after dinner drinks - equally as delightful as dinner. Also, the wine options by the glass were very good but I would be ever so grateful for a gluten-free beer option.

The food at Acqua Via is exceptional . The soup (tomatoe basil with goat cheese) is amazing. The sandwiches are incrediable! OLympia is very lucky to have this restaurant. Very tasteful decorated ,simple and cool. The best little cafe is town! try it. P.S. the service is excellent. It takes more time to prepare FRESH FOOD!!!
