Tampa Ballet Theatre is closing its 2015-2016 season with a performance of the comedic ballet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The performance will be held on May 28th, at 2:30pm and 7:00pm at Ruth Eckerd Hall. Tickets go on sale April 9th at noon. Tickets are priced at $50, $35, and $25. Tickets can be purchased at the Ruth Eckerd Hall Ticket Office, by calling 727-791-7400, or visiting www.rutheckerdhall.com.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Shakespeare’s most popular comedy, focuses on three parallel stories: the trials and experiences of two sets of lovers camping in a magical forest with a meddling Puck, Oberon and Titania, the warring king and queen of the trickster fairies, and a group of rough craftsmen staging a not so good production of Pyramus and Thisby for the wedding of the lovers. Watch these 3 stories intertwine in the most hilarious and bizarre ways. Magic, action, love and humor are the ingredients for this unforgettable story.
“I constantly find myself giggling on the inside when I perform this role,” states Nicole Khoo, performing as Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, “the outrageousness of it all will be sure to entertain any crowd”

As an artist in residence, Liddell will be bringing new original repertory for TBT and REH to help expand the growth of dance in the Tampa area. Liddell will also be joining the Murray instructing classes at the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts at Ruth Eckerd Hall. This past year, Christopher has also been directing and choreographing several successful musical productions along the East Coast.

“I was helplessly lured away from NYC by the amazing growth and talent at TBB and TBT.” states Liddell, “This company is becoming the new standard for great performances and I want to be a part of that! I hope Tampa is ready for all the amazing dance that is coming its way this season.”

Tampa Bay Ballet opened in 2008 and is the official school of Tampa Ballet Theatre.
