Google Little Box Challenge! For some of the Electrical Engineers who are looking for a push to begin their research in the field of Renewable Energy Resources: This is for you!
Today at an event with President Obama, we announced the Little Box Challenge, a $1 million prize to develop the next generation of power inverters. This prize is one of Google’s many efforts to advance a clean energy future. We have a goal of powering our operations with 100% renewable energy, and to that end have contracted over a gigawatt of wind energy for our data centers. Beyond powering our own operations, we’ve also committed over $1 billion to 16 renewable energy projects around the world. Keep an eye on www.littleboxchallenge.com for more information in the coming months!

Even today, the higher education is focused on making students more employable than helping them realize their innate potential to generate employment. This is in turn hampering the creative genius in each one of us and making us believe that we are built to serve than to rule. The education has been promoting slavery due to the very way it is structured. Don't you think Government has failed to make efforts in bringing enough educational reforms? Why has government not been working at the grassroots of the educational institutions? Do we have any hope in dreaming India to be the next Silicon Valley? #askjairam
