Simple Cajon food and extra reasonably priced. I couldn't have been more happy with the experience. It's a fun and odd place all the same. The building could be updated and cleaned up, but it's excellent as a local place.

Always amazing food. This is a must eat every time I'm back in Lexington, something I get homesick for. Huge portions for the price. I've been going here since their opening day! The garlic bread is to die for. I always get half black beans and corn half spinach artichoke parmesan, when they're both available. I've tried everything on the menu and nothing disappoints. They'll let you taste if you're unsure about something on the menu. Pair it with an Ale 8 one for a true Lexington treat. Huge hot sauce selection.

I don't get what the hype is about.... 11$ for a double serving of gravy and rice. I ordered the jumbalya and shrimp etouffee plates and got 2 plates of rice w different flavored gravies. Seems to me that anyone eating here has never had REAL CAJUN FOOD.

A ton of fantastic food at a great price, fast service, friendly people and a really cool atmosphere. I'd come here way too often if I lived in Lexington.

Jambalaya, Gumbo, Etouffe!! Awesome! The food is simply great. Our favorite is Jambalaya, Gumbo and Shrimp Etouffe. We tried other dishes also, but none can beat those three! Absolutely delicious! We never found such great Cajun & Creole cuisine anywhere else, even in New Orleans! The place is very nicely decorated with a feel of New Orleans cultures, with music playing always. Its a must go place in Lexington.

Good food for a good price. Ate a late lunch here trying to cure a post UK vs IN exit hangover.. The atmosphere was very casual, neighborhood feel to it. They had some games on that the staff were enjoying in between helping costumers. I liked the laid back feel. The menu is daunting if new to cajun food. But the guy working the register was helpful with recommendations. Even let a friend sample a couple foods. I ended up going the the jambalaya, it was good. It did lack some spice and a little flavor from what I was expecting, it being cajun and all. But there were dozens of different hot sauces to help with that. I tried whatever my friend ordered, it looked terrible, but was better than jambalaya. I'll definitely be back to try some different food, especially for the price on a plate.

Had half a chili and half a bean/sausage. The chili was PHENOMENAL and the service here is great. Super cheap.
