1.24 for Android is now out. This fixes a sync bug and is also mandatory to support the latest web app features. Please make sure you are auto-updating as we are planning a succession of new releases over the coming weeks.

We've got an awesome enhancement nearing the shiny end of the pipeline. If testing goes well, check back early next week.

We've just published 1.22.0 for Android. This fixes a couple of problems with creating a new tag and floating notes. Just a reminder that it's important to update CleverNote regularly as we fix issues with the beta.

A question about Checklists...

It would be great to get some input from the Springpad community regarding checklists. We are looking at adding Checklist functionality into CleverNote, but it will take a couple of months as our vision for what features a Checklist should offer is quite ambitious.

In the meantime, and to help shape our direction, your thoughts would be warmly welcomed. Specifically, we are considering to what extent a "Note" should be the container of checklist "items" (ie. the Springpad model) vs a usage model where each "Note" is itself the Checklist item, contained in some larger "Checklist container" (eg. but not necessarily, a Checklist folder).

We see pros and cons of both approaches, and would welcome your input to help shape our priorities. In the short term, this feedback will help us finalise that aspect of our Springpad import tool which is just about ready to roll out.

We've just published a developer's Drive CRUD app to http://www.clevernote.co/app/drivecrud.html

We created this for a couple of reasons. Firstly, we found that during development, it was very useful to be able to easily dump and examine a given Drive File object, and make changes to it, eg. adding a parent folder, or deleting a test file. We found ourselves using the Try It Now feature within the Drive API documentation to do this, and while it helped a lot in the early days, it is obviously designed as a documentation aid, not a development aid.

Feel free to use the app to help in your development. You are welcome to use our client ID, or paste in your own (see the note about configuring the API Console). If there are features that you'd like to see added, ping us a message and we'll try to oblige.

The second reason we developed this, is as a test client for our Drive library. We're an AngularJS shop, and accessing Drive from AngularJS using the Google JS client sucks. So we've developed an AngularJS ngResource library which wraps the Drive API with lovely $promises. Since we're also a Typescript shop, we did this in TS so we get super-sexy typed access to the Drive Resource classes. If there is enough interest in this, we'll clean out the smutty comments and post it to GitHub. Let us know.

CleverNote for Android is now (finally) in Beta. It was a rockier road than we ever expected, but we hope you agree it was worth the wait.
