Stephen Colbert is catching a lot heat today for a satirical bit that appears to have insulted Asians. The irony is that Colbert employed the bit to make fun of Dan Snyder's perceived cultural insensitivity.

Is Bloomberg putting its own business interests above journalistic integrity? It sure looks that way...

Once again, we have another school exhibiting questionable decision-making as a middle school in Virginia Beach, Virginia suspended sixth-grader Adrionna Harris after she came to the aid of a classmate who was despondent and in the process of harming himself. Adrionna saw her classmate purposely cutting his arm with a razor blade, so she stepped-in, convinced him to stop, took the razor-blade, threw it in the trash, consoled her classmate and reported the incident to school officials. And for this, she was suspended for 10 days.

The Washington Post has an interesting article out about the most expensive colleges in the United States. The surprise is that those topping the list are not the elite Ivy League colleges that most people associate with exorbitant costs. Rather, the most expensive are the liberal arts schools--which, for whatever reason, the Washington Post now just calls "the arts" schools.

WAPO is out with the most expensive colleges in the US. Those topping the list aren't Ivy institutions, but liberal arts schools.

What could be the point of such obfuscation?
Malaysian officials informed the relatives of the passengers on Flight 370 that, yes, there is sealed evidence, but it will not be made public.

In the This is Not Going to Happen to You Unless You Happen to be an Antiques Dealer Who Sells Gold-Plated Eggs at Flea Markets Department, a scrap metal dealer purchased a golden egg from an antiques dealer at a flea market in the Midwest U.S. about 10 years ago for $13,000 and recently discovered that it is actually worth $33 million.
