“Employing Social and Collaborative Platforms for Experiential Learning in Landscape Design” 

In the design fields of architecture, landscape design, and interior design, many firms rely on collaborative design teams early in the design process and will continue to work together through the design development phases of projects.  This presentation will discuss the significance of social and online collaborative platforms for design industry professionals and how students in the Landscape Contracting major use sites such as AutoCAD360, Google 3D Warehouse, and Houzz for collaboration in real world contexts for learning in social situations that rely on interaction, discussion, and negotiation.
