DNA is observable. The links are easily found through the inspection of the DNA sequences. We can compare the DNA of modern day humans to DNA found in a 130,000 year old toe bone of a Neanderthal. The Neanderthal were not "Human kind". They were very similar. We find that Neanderthal DNA in a percentage of humans today.  Skeletal remains exist of Neanderthal man. These remains differ from our current species. This video shows a huge deficit of understanding when it comes to the process of natural selection. A fish doesn't morph into a land mammal. This sort of ignorance is depressing.

Did God create the Boston Terrier breed? No. Man created all the different breeds of dogs through selective breeding. Most of these breeds have been created in the last 100 years. If man can obtain such diversity in domestic dogs from a single common ancestor (Wolves in Europe), why is it so hard for people to grasp that live evolved over millions of years through a similar process.

This all seems pretty hollow when you consider the man that delivered this talk is a member of a church that does more to take away the rights of homosexuals than any other religion in America. If John truely counts himself as a Mormon, he has to endorse every position set out by the LDS church.

It's great that he asks us all to be allys of the LGBT community. But he's only treating the symptoms of the disease of homophobia. The cure for Mormon Homophobia is a repudiation of the hateful positions on the topic by the "Bretheren". This same man has stated that he feels these men are "inspired". These same "Bretheren" are the products of former patriarchs that preached hatred of an entire race of people for 100 years. Choose ye this day whom ye will serve.

There was a choir to listen Brett when Romney had a chance to become president. Groups that were seeking to reform the Mormon church were allowed to fester while the very PR minded Mormon church threw their weight behind Mitt. Now that the moment is over, it's time to put everyone back in line.

Continue to fight for equal rights for women and acceptance of gays and you'll be talking very soon to your bishop about apostasy. The Mormon church never "changed" during the Mormon moment. They did everything they could to put on a different face that was more palatable by the average voter.

They purchased millions of dollars of ads from Google. They purchased billboards and bus advertisements across the country. They built web sites to explain how they accept gays. If you haven't noticed, all of that is over.

The hypocrisy is now more obvious than ever. This is the church I grew up with. I identify as a Mormon. I'm proud of my heritage. At the same time I'm deeply saddened by the the church's consistent choice to be on the wrong side of history. They've proven with the eventual excommunication of John Dehlin that you cannot be an effective advocate for the LGBT community and expect to maintain your membership.

What good is an advocate that can do and say nothing. That's not an advocate. That's an enabler.

Ultimately the Mormon church has morphed from a revolutionary young religion to a major corporation that seeks to maintain profits and influence. This is why Kelly was excommunicated and why Dehlin will eventually be terminated. Corporations won't stand for insubordination.

Not exactly Christian. This is a Mormon video produced for Brigham Young University (Idaho). I attended this school in the 90s. The big controversy back then was the ban on MTV in off campus housing. Eastern Idaho and Utah are run like a theocracy with the Mormon Bretheren pulling all the strings.

This store is full of trash. There's boxes stacked in front of the counters. There's magazines lying all over the store. Magazines in boxes. They have no inventory control. They also have no quality control. I purchased a gun that broke on our first day out. Buyer beware! This place is not safe. You're dealing with the bottom of the barrel when it comes to gun dealers. Best to stay as far away from these guys as possible. It's worth spending a little extra to buy from a reputable dealer.
