Low-key Japanese eatery that's a neighborhood favorite for sushi, sashimi & other basic fare.- Google
"Very good rolls, quiet environment, good service."
"The empty dining room on a saturday night should have given us a clue."

My wife and I have been coming here once or twice a year for the past 5 years. The sushi has always been amazing. Service has never been a problem. If you don't care for this place, you just don't like sushi.

Good fish but pricey. Not sure if it's the best "higher end but not stupid expensive" sushi choice in town but it's definitely not the worse.

This is the sleeper sushi mecca in New York City. Repeatedly earning the highest scores from Zagats and critics, Sushi Sen-Nin is unquestionably one of the top half dozen sushi bars in the City, but because it doesn't have a celebrity chef or owner, or make a fetish out of 'the experience', it has consistently flown under the radar. You can therefore always get a reservation (or even walk in!) and get the freshest fish in New York. The only downside is that with great sushi comes high prices. If you're going for top of the line fish, you should expect to pay for it... [Special tip: unknown to virtually everyone (including regulars) is that they are also one of the finest yakitori bars in New York! Hidden away in the back is an imported $20K yakitori grill that turns out mouthwatering delicacies. This is a place where you can confidently put yourself into the hands of the chef, and be delighted with whatever comes out.]

Best time to arrive, 830pm and sit at the bar. Order the Rainbow 1st and watch them build it for you. If you can eat more, continue with smaller rolls. True artist.... Wish we had this place in Houston, Texas

Great fish, fresh. But the service is disappointed. Elderly manager is even worst. The restaurant always freezing during winter and hot during summer. So please be prepare.

I like to think in NY you pay for what you get pretty much all the time. The fish is fresh, the service is good, the restaurant is clean and nice.
