Getting rid of malaria...just the tip of a scary slippery iceberg.

Yes we should and to borrow a very appropriate quote "With great power comes great responsibility".
We now have the power to easily alter DNA. It could eliminate disease. It could get really out of hand.

Wet Memorial weekend. Try to stay dry and be extra careful if you are going to the beach this weekend. Remember if you wade through waist deep water your phone and wallet get wet...if you drive into axle deep water you get a new car payment every month.

This is experimental 1 minute visible satellite imagery across Texas showing fine detail of the dryline in West Texas and storms developing in Southeast Texas.  Note the different levels of motion - high clouds moving east...dryline sloshing...cumulus developing with heating...and what may be gravity wave moving east into the western Hill Country.

Great write up about an off the charts event. (Okay 2:18000000 event)
Was the October 2000 cold snap in South Texas the most extreme temperature event in U.S. climate history when looking at high temperatures? Perhaps. Let's take a look. But first, some background. NCDC Normals There are c...

Bahn Mi combo and tofu excellent. Delicious Mongolian beef fried rice and an excellent concoction of fusion cooking with cheese and French fries and grilled ribeye and Pure Evil

Wow, Chicken Alfredo Pizza is delicious. Loaded with toppings and cheese blend is just wonderfully gooey! Crust is crispy and cheese on the edges is golden and bubbly. Staff is super attentive at lunch. This is a hidden gem for pizza. Pasta next time we come. ........... Update 6/2016 Chicken alfredo pizza still excellent. Alredo pasta was dull. Chicken parmasean was dry but crispy. Marina was flat. So stick to pizza. Service was very good.

Good mexican food. Nearly identical to Emma's. Nicer interior. Very good beer on draft local selection (4 or 5) only three fifty for a pint. Pollo costa bravo is my go to dinner. Perfectly cooked chicken and black beans. Borracho beans are WAY better than the refrieds. Very good beef fajita salad. Tequila galore! Bar was hopping with customers and drinks came quickly. Service kept us abreast of when our food would be out. Will be going back again and again.

Lunch buffet is a good way to try it out. Our waitress walked us through the buffet explaining what everything was, very helpful. Very good ginger soup and bbq chicken. Pancit was tasty and the curry veg was good enough for seconds (and bbq chicken) Desserts were pretty dull.

Outstanding. Mens, womens, and kids styling. Recently did a great men's cut and a kid's mohawk in yellow and green.

Food is good. But it is not clean - tables have a stripe of grime and were sticky. Bathrooms were messy.
