Great segment on NPR last night and here's the behind the scenes look.  That has to be a shock to the system but an honor.  Well done Kai.
The White House called Tuesday with an offer.

Cme should impacting.

Fast CME Earth impact! expected around 00:38 UT on Jan. 9, 2014. The CME associated with the X1.2 flare was clocked at ~2400 km/s. This is 8.6 million kph or 5.3 million mph. Estimates are for a geomagnetic storm up to moderate or severe (Kp 6-8) so we could get some fantastic aurora! If you had one climate change question you could ask a prominent Dr. of atmospheric science - what would it be?

May 12, '14. Come'on man. Food service potato salad and cole slaw. Bbq sauce tastes like they mixed Bullseye and cattleman together...sweet and smokey. Bbq beef looks like it has been in a smoker with ring but is sliced paper thin. Very moist and tight grained. Not bad but not great. Smoked turkey is very Smokey and moist. It is a better choice than the beef. It to is sliced paper thin. $10 for lunch and drink. If I come back (not likely) wound be sure to try the ends and beans.

Burning love burger just burnt. Medium rare was overcooked closer to well done. Flavor was okay with jalapenos. Skimpy with the cheese on my daughter's burger.

Great donuts. Amazingly good apple fritters...sweet cinnamon with real apple bits throughout. Best fritters in Pearland hands down. Very friendly staff.

Wow...smothered pork chops and greens! The food is great here. Meat loaf is moist and tasty (hint red gravy), macaroni and cheese is creamy and cheesy, corn bread is light and texture is moist and fine grained. Smothered pork chops are meaty and large (2 per order) mashed potatoes are almost freakishly fluffy-delish and the smothering gravy has just the right amount of salt. The green beans were okay (probably the least favorite)...they have slices of onion and potato. And saving the best for last...the greens (specifically-mustard greens) were amazing rich and green with just a touch of spicy heat. Portions here are large and reasonably priced, out gets very busy on Sunday so expect a wait. Seats about 30. Take out it's good too. Music fits the place perfectly. And the staff are very friendly and helpful. Haven't tried any of the desserts yet...too full and happy.

Very good lunch. I had the rising sun roll and it was delicious.

Great sushi. Good Tata roll, miso chicken orzo soup was deeply flavored, and the standout was the Jamie roll. Chicken salad was very good for the none sushi eater of the bunch. Prices were reasonable. Nice decor and very helpful staff.
