I ended FS with 40,000 AP away from leveling up from L10 to L11 and would have been the tie-breaker for third. I regret not getting closer the night before.

Congratulations to Jakarta, ID Agents for helping Agents increase 12 Access Levels. Thousands of Agents around the globe worked to ramp up new recruits at the Jan 3 Agent-organized Ingress: First Saturday events. If you haven't already, register your Feb 7 #IngressFS today to help Agents work to level up and build Cross-Faction friendships: http://goo.gl/4t5vpH

Vancouver came 70th in this past weekend's First Saturday. I contributed 169,486 AP to Vancouver's tally, more than 11% of the total 1,496,722 AP! #Ingress

#IngressFS 6 Dec 2014 by the numbers: 140+ events, +558 Levels, +355,739,195 AP. This month’s top Access Level change reported in Chiba, JP with +32 Levels. Chiba and Kyoto Agents, be on the lookout for the next XM Anomaly Series. It's time to move.

Quite a few Ingress-related IFTTT recipes out there, the interesting ones relying on the email notifications.

Can I reply to an email in Inbox with an alias I have setup un my Gmail settings? Signs currently point to no, but I'd use Inbox for composing if it did.

Where's the best place to keep up on news about Google Inbox? https://twitter.com/inboxbygmail is the official Twitter account, but I assume there's a Google Products Forum for it? Unofficial blogs http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/ and http://9to5google.com/ are covering it too, specifically the 'inbox' tag in the latter. http://9to5google.com/tag/inbox/
The latest Tweets from Inbox by Gmail (@inboxbygmail). Inbox is by the same people who brought you Gmail, but it’s not Gmail: it’s a completely different type of inbox, designed to focus on what really matters. In a box

I remember where I was when I saw the field over the west coast of North America. Ingress Obsessed covered the operation that was supposed to blanked the whole continent in green.

See also Part 2: Ingress Obsessed 11 - Operation Solar Flare, Pt. 2

(They mispronounce Newfoundland, the province, a bunch of times, though they get it right in the post-production segments.)

I did worse than at the previous FS on every count. Time to come up with a different strategy than just smash and capture.

Finally Tally for #IngressFS  - Vancouver (January Edition):

The Enlightened took the victory at the event, even though they were outnumbered 30 to 24.  Huge congrats to them, a well earned victory!

• The final score was 2,733,255 AP gained for the Enlightened and  2,569,110 AP for the Resistance.
• The Resistance came out on top for levels gained, with 6 levels compared to the Enlightened's 2.
• The Resistance also walked away with 4 of the 8 trophies, and the Enlightened with 3 of the trophies.  One trophy was not awarded (my fault, whoops) at the event, but we will be working to award this.  All victors of the trophies will be immortalized on the trophies that they won with plaques!

Rejected edit.
Current name: Cement Sculpture
Submitted name: Ocean Commotion

The name of the kinetic sculpture can be seen on the sign when it was under maintenance. Cement Sculpture doesn't really describe it.

Ingress: The Incredible & Addicting Covert Game Being Played All Around You
/via +louisgray.com  #ingress

+Ingress is the most well-designed, intelligently deployed concept I've ever seen for an immersive experience on mobile, which encourages you to get off your butt, explore the world around you, and find new people to help you achieve goals together. Every facet of the application, even while it seems mysterious, is designed to help you get out of house, to explore new crannies of your neighborhood (and beyond) and discover people on your faction who need your help to achieve what would be impossible alone. I've never seen anything like it.
A little over two years ago, a small team within Google called Niantic Labs introduced Ingress, a game that adds a virtual reality layer on top of the entire world, which you can claim, defend or destroy for your cause - depe...

The other day I made my first planned field on #Ingress. All other fields to that point had been pure luck.

For this one, I made a point of linking from the Catholic church near the coffee shop I was stationed at to a mural a few blocks away and a Lutheran church a few blocks away from that. I got the portal keys for both. Then I linked back to the mural from the Lutheran church completed the triangle.

The amount of planning was about 3 minutes over coffee within the app on the iPhone. Still proud of it.

I've been using Chrome user switching for ... who knows how long now. This article suggests Chrome will turn this on by default in the future. The default is to not have fast user switching on. chrome://flags has a setting to turn that on.
Google Chrome has supported multiple user accounts for years now, but the options to add and manage them have been buried in the browser's settings. In fact, if you actually navigate ...

Keyboard switching is harder even with fast switching enabled. The key combo (Cmd-Shift-M) still works, but not up and down keys to switch users. Let's see what happens when I update Canary.
