Every scientist has a story, right? But, if you're a scientist, can you communicate your story to scientists outside your field or to a layperson? Can you sell your ideas to someone who has two minutes (or less) to listen to you? Like it or not, as science evolves, the ways by which we communicate about science evolve, too. Scientists today are using blogging and social media platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+ to obtain funding, find jobs, build collaborations, share ideas, or simply curate the incredible amount of science news available today. Come join this hangout with 5 San Diego (recovering) scientists active on Twitter to hear their experiences and 'how-to' get started with Twitter.
