I was curious to know if this group it is interested to discuss only about 3D printing based on traditional extrusion machines (FDM/FFM) or if other 3D printing approaches can be discussed here. In any fablab/makershop I have seen I have always found a variety of fabrication technology beside the usual filament based machines.
So the question is:
What are the digital fabrication technology you are interested into?

As you probably know Digital Fabrication is not only FDM and SLA. There is a huge variety of techniques that can help you to obtain physical objects representing your designs. Paper, cardboard, wire, many different materials can be used to obtain stylized representations of your ideas;

give a look at this fresh survey on Stylized Fabrication of get a high level overview of what is the current state of the art: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/cgf.13327/abstract
