The SEMA auto show was happening this week in Vegas. Scion showed up with this retro xB mod. NICE! http://ow.ly/DZ0Od
Scion is really channeling the weird at SEMA with its '70s inspired xB and tC influenced by the metal band Slayer.

I recently bought a tonneau cover for my Tacoma and needed to have it installed. I contacted Mike and Andy who were the sales team when I bought my truck and within a few hours I was on-site having it installed by the rest of the professionals. The waiting area is top notch - hot coffee, cookies, soda and juices with soft chairs and today's paper. They let me know that it was taking a little longer than expected (no extra charge for the time to do the work), and frankly, its nice to hang out in their awesome show room and look at new vehicles and accessories. The people and the product are top rate in my book.

Thank you for the review and comments, Scott. Stop back anytime; the guest lounge is always stocked (as you described) and seeing the latest models in the Toyota line up. Enjoy that new Tonneau cover - just in time before the big snow fall!

I purchased my new Sienna at Smart Motors and my experience was everything I expected it to be. My sales rep Mike Kluvia was courteous and timely. He found me the perfect van for me and my family and he did it in one hour. I met him during my lunch break and he knew I had limited time. We got down to business and within one hour, we identified a vehicle and settled on a price. Two days later we were the proud owners of a new Toyota Sienna. The vehicle I wanted was not in stock so Mike and his team sourced the vehicle from another location. I was impressed by the speed at which they work. Everything went smooth including the financing. I worked with Finance Manager Chad Ohly and I was able to get a loan that fit my monthly payment expectations. Chad was low key and he did not pressure me to buy all the extra “stuff” which would have made my monthly payment higher. I was able to get an extended warranty and keep my monthly payment in line. He understood where I wanted to be and he made it happen. I felt good with this purchase and I had no buyer’s remorse. The sale and financing was fair and good. I will return to Smart Motors Toyota for future purchases.

They did what they were suppose to. But I would like to point out that the person handling my services could use some customer service skills improvement. He had very little eye contact and rarely smiled. I set up an appointment at 8:00 am, and when asked when I would like the car back (assuming my car be worked on at my appointment time) I told them whenever they were done. The person replied back, "so if you get it at 4pm that's okay?" I almost lost it. What are appointments for if the car won't be worked on it at the appointment time?! I told the Toyota person I expected the car to be done in a reasonable time. He replied that the cars are worked on accordingly to those customers who actually stayed at Toyota and waited. I was dropping the car off because I did not want to sit in the lounge for at least two hours while my car was serviced. I told them that I would tell my friend (whoes been waiting for at least 10 mins while I waited for someone to attend to me) to go back home and I would sit in THEIR lounge and wait for MY car if that's what it took for them to start working on my car. The service person then told me, "oh it shouldn't be a problem, we can get right on it." Now I'm trying to understand that Toyota (I'm sure other major dealers do this too) is trying to service cars to those who are waiting, but just because I'm not there physically doesn't mean I am not waiting for my car as well. If this is the case, what's the whole point of setting an appointment early. My intention was to get the car in early so I can get it back asap. Like I said, Toyota did what they were suppose to. But if I wanted to just drop off my car and wait all day to get my car back for a 2 hour job I mind as well go to a local small shop whose willing to start on my car at the schedule time.

I want to give a huge shout out for Sales Manager Andy Goepfert and Luke Severson from the Service Team. We purchased a used car from Toyota and Andy our sales associate was professional, knowledgeable upfront with pricing and really went the extra mile to ensure we not only found what we wanted in a vehicle but that we were satisfied with our purchase. After two weeks of driving, I heard a very low-pitched noise and Andy had us bring it in and took care of the problem at no cost. Luke from service was awesome! Of course when he drove our vehicle it did not make the ‘noise’, but Luke wanted to keep the car another day to see if it made any difference as he test drove it the next day. Sure enough the noise came back. Luke was so courteous and respectful over the phone through the entire process and he did his due diligence to find the problem and correct it. I know I will be returning in the future to purchase from this team again. They were The BEST! Thanks Andy and Luke and the rest of the Toyota team!

I recently worked with car salesman, John Ashworth to lease a Toyota Camry and have to say it was a surprisingly refreshing experience. My lease was up on my 2012 Camry and I while I really liked the car, I decided to shop around a bit and maybe try something different. Not only did I not find a car I liked better for the price and options I wanted, I was exhausted with how long it took and also didn't feel nearly as comfortable with some of the other salespeople I encountered as compared to my experience with John. Simply put, he is very knowledgeable, honest, concise, not pushy, and made leasing my car easy. And, I love my new Toyota Camry!

Got my Explorer from them. Has squeaky parking brake and belts since I got it, these issues should have been solved before it even went up for sale (belts and brakes should have been replaced before selling. Very cheap and fast and ensures a safe reliable ride). I was in their office SIX hours waiting to be approved for financing. Maybe not their fault, I was denied by lender after lender (had terrible credit at the time), but they could have sent me home to come back the next day. If sitting at their location for 6 hours is a common occurrence they could have had more comfortable chairs, comp'd soda and snacks, etc. Their prices are also pretty terrible for many vehicles. I got a $5000 "discount" on my Explorer, which in reality simply brought their asking price to its ACTUAL retail value. So, it is likely they overprice everything, and then give everyone a "discount" to make it seem like theyre getting a good price. So, pretty standard for a car dealership. But, overall it was ok. They were nice, and I needed a nice vehicle for once so I put up with terrible chairs and no food or drink (aside from bottled water) for six hours. In the end I wouldn't tell anyone to avoid them, but nothing about my experience would make me recommend them, either. The only bonus over other dealerships is they have a special program where they can get financing for people with REALLY bad credit (like myself). It is supposedly an invite-only program tho, and Im not even sure how they choose people to invite. I never applied or signed up, but got the invite in the mail. After literally weeks of investigation on the net to make sure it wasnt a scam, I agreed to come in. If you go in for their poor credit program, be warned you will NOT get the vehicle you want. You will get whatever vehicle the banks and/or lenders will OK them to finance for you. It will have to fit very specific criteria. My options were an 05 Explorer or a Milan. After an hour or so, I was informed the Milan was not an option, so it was the Explorer or nothing. And Explorer was not what I wanted, but I know them well, so I figured why not. The criteria for what you will be allowed to finance is very strange, tho... I would have much rather gotten a higher mileage Lexus GS350, or Infiniti G35x (both worth less than my Explorer, given its very low mileage and impeccable condition).

I don't write lots of reviews of businesses. Smart Motors earned this one. I had not been "new car shopping" for over a decade, and was not excited about entering that "lion's den" situation. I shopped three car brands (Ford, Chevrolet and Toyota) and Smart Motors convincingly won my business, TJ asked me a lot of questions, and showed me several cars that might suit me. I chose the Corolla L with 6-speed manual transmission. This is not an expensive car, and even so the manufacturer and Smart Motors had incentives to help bring the price down. He is NOT your typical car-salesman type! He's smart, patient, and really knows his business! Justin handled the paperwork quickly and painlessly. Joanna offered to show me how to sync my phone with the car's radio. And John drove my old car back to my home, as I drove the new one, and he switched my license plates. I didn't think I gave them enough "profit" to have all these people involved! Smart Motors earned my business by being honest, by giving me a great deal, and by showing that service is their keystone. I recommend them highly! If you're shopping for a car, consider these people.

We use Smart Motors Xpress Lube for our 2011 RAV4's maintenance. The main reason we use it is for the convenience of the hours they are open. The staff is very courteous and professional. An added bonus is Smart Motors is about $10 cheaper on a regular oil/filter change than competitors and we get a free car wash also.
Response from the owner - a month ago
Thank you for the comments about our Express Lube, Ron. I will be sure to pass along your kind words to the Team, and thank you for continuing to service your RAV4 with us! We appreciate it.
