I was fortunate enough to get a couple bags of coffee from Driven, and I'm excited to share about my experience with both of them. Yes, I've turned the ordinary, simple cup of coffee into an experience. Now, I've reviewed a lot of coffee from Africa, but this will be my first review of a single origin coffee from Papua New Guinea, and also one from Peru.

The Chorus blend consists of beans from Brazil, Columbia, and Ethiopia. The Brazil provides the bulk of this roast, and they add in just a touch of Columbian for acidity and an Ethiopian Natural for sweetness.

This coffee is grown in the Yunnan province of China, on the Fuyan farm, at an altitude of roughly 1600 meters. The beans are handpicked for quality, fully washed, and sun dried to a moisture content of around 14%.

It's probably one of the easiest ways to make one of the best possible cups of coffee. It's called the pour over method, and it's how I make just about every cup of coffee that I drink. Unless of course, I decide to use my French Press or Moka Pot. But the pour over just makes me feel like I'm a scientist in a chemistry lab, experimenting with different techniques for making the most absolutely perfect cup of coffee I can.

If you asked me just a month ago if I'd ever heard of coffee from Nepal, I would have told you no. I can probably guess that most of you would have said the same thing. Well, I can officially say that I've had my first cup of coffee from Nepal, from a really great company called Bhavana Coffee.
Bhavana Coffee was started by Jennifer Lan. Jen took what was supposed to be a two week trip to Nepal, and immediately fell in love with the people. http://bit.ly/2FqbjeD

Messenger Coffee is a BRAND NEW coffee shop located just south of the Sprint Center, and the Power and Light District in Kansas City.  They've been around for a while, just as a local roaster, and are the main source for a lot of the local coffee shops here in KC.  But in October of 2017, they finally opened up, as what I would definitely say the biggest coffee shop that I've ever been to.

Farmers First was founded by two really awsome guys named Matt and Robert, who are not just passionate about coffee, but even more so about the farmers that grow it, hence the name, Farmers First. Matt and Robert are truly dedicated to helping people, and educating people on how incredibly difficult, and fulfilling it can be to be a coffee farmer.
