Before the incarnation, was the ¨Son of God¨exclusively male?

The patriarchal priesthood is NOT a dogma of the Catholic faith.  Let us pray for female priests and bishops, and sooner rater than later.

In both society and religion, patriarchy is mercifully passing away.  What matters is purity of heart!

It is practically impossible to foster a new civilization of solidarity and sustainability unless the patriarchal culture of male domination is overcome in both secular and religious institutions.

This is a sign of hope:

"The way in which Jesus Himself regarded women, in a context that was far less favorable than our own, casts a powerful light illuminating a road that takes us far, on which we have traveled only a short distance. It is a road we must travel with more creativity and boldness."

This is the complete text published in Vatican News:

These two sentences are a sign of hope: "The way in which Jesus Himself regarded women, in a context that was far less favorable than our own, casts a powerful light illuminating a road that takes us far, on which we have traveled only a short distance. It is a road we must travel with more creativity and boldness."  In other words, we have made some progress, but we have a long way to go.  I hope we shall see women ordained to the priesthood before the end of this millennium!

I certainly hope that Fr Radcliffe is right and Pope Francis is looking for something more radical than women deacons.  What about women deacons, priests, and bishops?  Anything less than this would be an exercise in window dressing.  Actually, the ordination of women would be "simply" the natural completion of the Acts 15:28 apostolic decision to discontinue the requirement of male circumcision.  If women can be baptized, and confirmed, why not ordained?

With regard to women in the Church, doublespeak has been going on for a long time.  Let us pray that the doublespeak will become practical by way of ordaining women to the priesthood.

I fully agree that NFP is much better, morally and psychologically, for those with the required formation and discipline.  As you surely know, the moral "why" of Humanae Vitae is explained in John Paul II's Theology of the Body.  However, I am concerned that the TOB is also used to propose a rigidly patriarchal understanding of man-woman complementarity in order to justify the exclusively male priesthood.
