Expensive and slow service when it's busy, but the cocktails are pretty good. The barber gimmick is sort of neat, once.

They should close the barber shop & just run a restaurant or not offer hot towel shaves (I did not get a hair cut)The staff was nice enough but I ended up with one of the worst hot towel shaves I've ever had. I went home & cleaned myself up with a Bic disposable. It's a gimmick. If you want a real barbershop experience skip the blind barber.

If I could give zero stars i would. Drive all the way here and arrived at 1145 just for them to say sorry we are closing at 12 tonight. If your website states you stay open until a certain time then stay open!!! Pathetic.

Hidden little speakeasy by the Best Buy. It wasn't a huge space but definitely enough room to move around and be comfortable. The bartenders were very friendly and make a mean cocktail-- not to mention their grilled cheese is BOMB. Definitely great vibes in this place. We went on a Friday after work and it wasn't too packed. This is a solid go-to place if you're looking for a relaxed and fun night!

Gotta hand it to my friend in the know for bringing me here. I had no idea why we were walking through a barber shop until we went through a door on the back wall and we came out into a fairly large, dimly-lit bar. The "speakeasy" thing seems to be in full swing these days and this is one of the nicer ones I've been to. AND they serve food too (their thing is an extensive grilled cheese menu)! On this particular occasion we did not have any food, save for a bowl of Roasted almonds (with rosemary, garlic, red Pepper) which we didn't think were all that great (nuts were chewy) but ended up eating almost all of anyway. The drinks were pretty good, though, as was our amiable bartender, who didn't mind chatting with us about the various cocktail selections. I decided on their Smoke & Dagger (Jack daniels, jalapeno-infused cointreau, cucumber, ginger, lemon), which I thought was complex but refreshing, and I think my friend had the Strawberry Fields (Stoli vodka, lemon, honey, strawberries, parsley). Their happy hour also goes til 7pm, which we thought was quite generous. I'm definitely trying them again!

I think I've been spoiled by all the nice speakeasy places in NYC. I was expecting something nice to greet me on the other side of this barber shop front and... was met with a dive bar from your local college town. The booths were cozy and my friends loved their grilled cheeses but I was less than impressed. The DJ played great music, but didn't know how to transition from song to song! Finally, the service was unpredictable. Our waiter was super nice but also forgot our drinks and it took us about 40 minutes to wave him down, remind him of our drinks, and finally get our drinks. I'm fairly certain that our drinks didn't have alcohol in it at all. I couldn't even taste a trace of the bourbon. All this on a Tuesday night. I can't imagine what it's like on the weekend.

Shave & a haircut...........two bits! Flashback to the Prohibition Era, where Speakeasies offered libations clandestinely to avoid the long arm of the law. From the outside, Blind Barber looks like a simple, full service barber shop, where customers receive a complimentary cocktail with their cut. The barbers know just the cut a guy needs to make women swoon. However, make your way to the back of the barbershop & you're brought back to the speakeasies of old. A full service bar with booths and tables to enjoy one of Blind Barber's signature cocktails or their gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. Blind Barber's grilled cheese sandwiches are legit & worth the $10 price tag which includes a small kale salad. Friendly bartenders & waitresses help you unwind after a long day of work or to kickstart your weekend off right. The barkeeps kept my club sodas w/ limes flowing the whole night, since I don't drink. Music was on blast & the 90's rap songs on rotation the night I was there brought me back to my younger days. Doesn't the guy on the left look like Lorenzo Lamas? ;p Once a month, Blind Barber has The Secret Show, a free comedy show on a Wednesday night. Street parking is available in front, on Midway Ave. and the Best Buy shopping center directly behind the building. Looking to relax? Perhaps availing yourself of a nip/tuck before turning in? Then, I highly recommend checking out Blind Barber in Culver City. Have a haircut & then slide on over to the back for a nibble and/or a tipple.

Yay I FINALLY made it to The Blind Barber! I've known about The Blind Barber for a while now but never got around to checking it out and I love speakeasies! Its located through a working barbershop (look for the red white a blue barber pole outside) I came for their free monthly secret comedy show (last Wednesday of every month) My friend goes almost every month and I went as her guest this time. Doors open at 7pm and show starts at 8pm. Their menu is mostly gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, and since I'm lactose intolerant, I brought along my Lactaid. I ordered the #8 habanero one because I wanted the spiciest one! It was very good, not too greasy and I definitely felt the heat! I also had an Allaghash because it was on HH. Service is a touch slow, mostly because there's so many people ordering food. They'll continue to serve food throughout the comedy show as well. The show was great! Some of the comedians were SO SO funny, and there were maybe 1 or 2 that didn't get the audience going. Overall I had a ton of fun! The show lasts roughly to 10pm and it turns into a bar with music afterwards. PARKING: I walked, but there is street parking or you can park in the lot of the Best Buy/Ralphs plaza at your own risk.
