During the past 5 years, Congress has cut funding for student aid by over $30 billion, resulting in students being kicked out of the Pell Grant program, and being charged more for their student loans. These cuts were made to help balance the budget.
How does this affect RMU? We had 1,308 students receive a pell grant so far for the 2014-15 academic year. We had 1,453 during all of 2013-14 and 1,432 during 2012-13 academic year. If Congress cuts funds, it could have an impact on all of them.
We are proud to show our support for Student Aid Alliance’s campaign: Save Student Aid! Visit act.studentaidalliance.org to find out how you can help! ‪#‎SaveStudentAid‬

Thirty-six years ago, Steelers GM Kevin Colbert was studying for finals at RMU, reviewing stats and figures in his sport management books. This week he puts what he learned to use once again by looking for the Steelers' next big star in the NFL Draft. Good luck, Kevin! Which of our graduates on May 9 is a future GM of a Super Bowl winning team, Fortune 500 CEO, or entrepreneur?

Did you know RMU was one of only three universities attended by top billboard rapper Wale! Here he is performing in the Sewall Center in 2011.
Now, first Lady Michelle Obama has teamed up with the former Colonials football player for a White House event taking place on Thursday to promote higher education.
