This is hilarious. A major dose of voice acting nostalgia mixed with incongruous events from another series. Well done! WELL DONE!

Oh, bother. Jim Cummings, the voice of Winnie the Pooh, reads Darth Vader's lines & it is fantastic.

Okay... I just amused myself for about 5 minutes with this. Essentially a audio-visual toy. It has a bunch of samples and visual representations. You press a letter key and it will play said sample and visual. These can overlap, and be done in rapid succession. However the same sample can't be played over itself (it will restart rather than be polyphonic). You can overlay (causing polyphonic melodies) samples from other keys... provided your keyboard can let you press (and report) more than one key at a time.

I know everyone hates spam, but this is actually relevant. It looks like CrunchyRoll is sporting a 30 day free premium trial. They have a lot of the current season and recent seasons of anime, with proper payment/royalties to production companies, and subtitled within an hour-ish of it airing in Japan.

If you have never tried CrunchyRoll, I highly suggest you give it a try. Especially in North America (Phillipines, Europe, etc may get a different listing, so I'm not sure. Doesn't work in China or Japan). Almost their entire library has HD. Although there is some really old backlog that they have that doesn't. They also have some Japanese and Korean drama shows and they recently included some manga as well (with big backlogs) already translated to English.

If you don't like CrunchyRoll, what are your favorite (LEGAL) sites for streaming/obtaining Anime? The reason I stress legal is I want to support the industry, otherwise how will we help fund it for it to continue making more awesome things?

I actually capitalized on this promotion. I signed up a few days ago. I was mainly using Hulu to watch Anime I didn't want to buy the DVDs for. But now after watching stuff on Crunchyroll, Hulu's commercials are killing me. I even have Plus and they are getting bold with the commercial breaks. I'd say 6 months ago The average break was 45 seconds. I'd say now it was 70 seconds. Bullshit. And there are still 3 breaks!!! If Crunchyroll had everything Hulu had that I wanted to watch, I'd drop it in a heart beat.

Huh, This is pretty darn good. I'm a little musically non-adept (to say it nicely) but I enjoy some good talent in others.

Hey all you smexy people. I have a single code for a free 2 months of Hulu Plus. It only works for new accounts, or accounts that have never had Hulu Plus (can't extend your existing subscription... which sucks).

Hulu has tons of TV shows, a few movies, and a crapton of clips from major news and talkshows. They have Anime (dub and sub), they have indie films, they even have made a few custom TV shows just for only on Hulu that you can't find elsewhere. Sadly, Hulu Plus doesn't get you the videos Ad-free. But it does get you it in HD, on TVs and handheld devices (Android, iOS, PS Vita, Xbox 360/One, PS3/4, Ouya, etc).

So whoever wants it, leave a message, and We'll see if we can't get you a code to try it out.

I can dig it. Personally I get my anime from CrunchyRoll or on BluRay/DVD... I occasionally still get fansubs. For other media, I try to get it legit, and if not, then.... I'll find other ways.
Hulu does some good stuff, they just have too many ads, even when you pay.

HAHAHHAHAHAHA. This is actually serious. The kid bypassed his father's XBOX account password prompt just by hitting spacebar on an attached keyboard when the wrong password was given. This is both interesting for the fact that the kid figured it out and repeatedly used it, and the fact that MS had NOT figured this out up to that point.

Father submitted bug to MS, got his son listed on the whitepaper about the vulnerability.

sighs Yet another system breach, through some accounts/users who should have known better, thereby giving a lot higher access than the crooks would have had otherwise. If you use the service, be advised to change your password.

Luckily the passwords were encrypted (old with SHA-1 + Salt, newer with bcrypt). Still, it just takes time and effort to pull those out.

Kickstarter Hacked - User Data Compromised!

Kickstarter just announced that hackers gained access to account "usernames, email addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, and encrypted passwords." But "no credit card data of any kind was accessed by hackers." Also, while actual passwords were not revealed, it's possible with enough computing power to crack an encrypted password -- As a precaution, change your password immediately!

Technical Note: Older passwords were "salted" with SHA-1, which may be weaker than more recently created passwords, now hashed with bcrypt.

Oh come on, Google... I have my primary online pseudonym listed in my contact information, on my profile, and almost every linked service has it for its profile URL link.

Yet you still deny my request for that as a custom URL?

Further, you took a month and a half to do so. What the hell Google? What in the blinking hells took you so long? Not even an explanation of WHY you denied it.

Well Hello there +Mariza Aurea , You don't seem to have any posts, and no information on your profile. So care to introduce yourself to the class? How did you find me? What do you find so "Wow" (or at least finish the Doge reference) ?

This is pretty damn snazzy. I'm wondering why more haven't tried something like that.

Story
Introduction
I'm originally from Soquel (Santa Cruz), California. I went to Soquel High, as well as International School of Beijing. I attended both Cabrillo College (in Aptos, CA) and DeAnza College (near San Jose, CA) for some classes, starting when I was in Sixth Grade. I was in the US Marines as an IT guy, stationed at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan, and seperated honorably as a Corporal. I've since worked for a security firm, as IT for a financial institution, specialty community engagement consulting for an online social media firm (in contract with a large well-known software company), as a technical solutions partner for another company, and I also have worked for IBM in a Systems Administrator role. I currently do remote IT administration consulting work.
I invest my time in numerous pursuits and in lots of studying of random skills and professions. If you need something done in a technical fashion, chances are that I could design a way to do it.

They are pretty friendly, and the wait times for walk-ins aren't too bad considering how busy they usually are. A word of advice though, they really only do haircuts for short hair and predominately user trimmers. Don't go in expecting them to trim up shoulder-length or even medium length hair. That said, if you have a shorter style in mind, they do a very good job. They are usually attentive to details of shape and styling and do ask for input during the job. Overall, very good place to go for a haircut (if you have shorter hair)

The afternoon staff were super friendly, even if it was hard to hear over the kitchen and the acoustics of the place. Environment was cute and it has a second floor if you wish to be a bit more removed from the crowd.

In the middle of nowhere. However, it is clean, inexpensive, and the staff is pretty nice. The Hilton it is not, but for a road-weary traveller it is an absolutely excellent option.
