Here's a very interesting and useful article via Twitter. Whether you are politically active, or want to be more so, or simply curious about how things are done or how much is being spent...
What is it good for? Absolutely everything! Who can do it? Absolutely everybody!

On a side note.. mate of ours here in Adelaide is the cop in charge of the FOI information "desk" ..
He reckons it's a hell of a task, for example, a lawyer for a case sends in the request, he has to then dig up all the info the Police have on that particular 'case' .. then go through it all and redact any information the lawyer isn't permitted to have.. IE, the name and address of the victim (perhaps) any witnesses details etc etc.. .. he then has to hand both the request and the information he's gathered upstairs to his boss who then has to go through both the request, the info and the redacted bits, to make sure the right details match, the lawyer (or whoever) has the right to even ask, the redacted bits are accurate etc etc...
As he said, even in a Police matter, lawyers are not automatically permitted legal access to everything.

I was about to complain if I had my other phone I could take some great photos when I discovered a panoramic setting on this old fallback.
Not bad, ready for NYE on the mountain and we just found out the BBQ smoker trailer we followed halfway over the mountains is going to be at the event we're taking the kids to.
Bring on the food coma!

The best and sometimes the worst part of Christmas is catching up with family.
Having survived the day itself, it was nice to meet up with some extended family that we don't see often enough.
This gathering was joined by a young Red Kangaroo, who was saved from the pouch roadside and given into the care of Lockie to raise.

Feeding time was great entertainment for all present.

He's a male Red who is expected to reach 1.5m (4'9") and will stand at 1.8m (6').
Then back into his pouch for another nap, he's certainly got this Christmas thing down pat.

Then 2 cakes and happy birthday sung both in English then Wiradjuri. Another thing to look forward to once our new house is completed, family gatherings.

So I managed to bake bread with dinner via a machine (you'd be super impressed if you knew my day). Tomorrow will see bread sticks

A rather long but insightful look at how pain cahnges the way pain works...because having chronic pain might be easily managed if it didn't adapt.

As always, I'm curious to hear any thoughts.
Pain itself can change how pain works, so that patients with pain actually become more sensitive.

More gathering than growing today. A quick visit to the farm and I got asked to cull some of the garlic from the rose beds. Most of it is Giant Russian, with a few standard White.

Then I saw the garlic planted out in the vege patch. All up 50+ Giant and 26 small. I left with just over half after saving some for replanting.

Anyone know any good garlic recipes, preserving techniques?
+Michael Ringland I'm looking at you.

My wife wants to drive (6hrs) back in Jan to harvest Quinces & Figs, 2 large trees of each growing in the original farm house orchard (circa 1900). And I might trap some more yabbies, about 12 this size (my hat for scale) and 8 smaller from 3 traps. We put them all back to fatten up.

+Michael Woods and excellent read. Many possibilities, just over the horizon. As for the pain felt now, well, there's always morphine.

Gently Roasted Cheese BBQ Recipe

Great prices but this is not the place to go for information or indecision. If you know what you want order or check stock online and collect or buy in person for significant savings! But don't confuse it for a retail store and expect advice on models or options. Staff know their tech & products but this is a warehouse environment and not setup for browsing or casual purchases (go to JB, etc). Good delivery turn around times.

A great day out, visit the Lighthouse for spectacular 360° views. Some patience will pay off with some great Deer photos. Bring a towel, if only to clean the sand off your feet after wading out onto the sand bars.
