I am very disappointed with today’s (Sunday)  result, because after how qualifying went, I expected to do better. I didn’t get a good start and immediately lost some places. On the first lap, I was hit by Magnussen, luckily without it doing any damage, but trying to move up the order at this point was very difficult, because the lack of aero downforce and speed on the straight meant overtaking was complicated. We knew this track was less suited to the characteristics of our car than the first two and that the Mercedes would be very quick. Overall, the handling of our car has generally improved compared to the first races and this makes me confident for the upcoming ones. We can expect a lot of work to do and we will make the most of the test days to try and improve already in time for the next race in China. #F1   #Kimi   #Räikkönen   #Bahrain

The good news is that the handling of your car has improved..if as you said so the track wasn't suited for it then no good results were expected and the ones from qualifying were a big surpise. Fortunately the hit by Magnussen didn't caused any problems. Ignore Mercedes..try to reach the level that you want with car's efficiency and then see what you can do with them. Overall I think it's OK cause the best is yet to come and all the suitable tracks are ahead of us!!Keep up the good work and you fully have our support Kimi!!Best wishes for China!!

Kyllähän Kimi nyt ainaski parit donitsit pyöräyttää aina voiton jälkeen... Ja niitä voittoja tulee kyllä varmasti useita. ;)

Story
Introduction
Kimi Räikkönen was born to race and from his very first seat time in a pedal kart at the tender age of three he showed a passion for racing and going fast.

Whether it's a Ferrari Formula One car, Ferrari roadcar, motorbike, Kart, pushbike, snowmobile, pair of skis - Kimi's has got one speed - flat out!
Kimi's rise to Formula One World Champion is well documented. His graduation for Formula One direct from Formula Renault redefined fast track career progression and to this day no driver in history has made such a dramatic entry.

From his very first Grand Prix with Sauber, Kimi made an impression and not long into his rookie season McLaren made a successful bid to sign Kimi on a five year contract. But for Kimi this was not enough and he joined Ferrari, the most illustrious name in Formula One.

The 2007 season was one of the most exciting battles in history and Kimi's fight to win the driver's title and contribute to Ferrari's constructors championship was a great achievement. 2008 was marred by bad luck which hampered his title defence, while 2009 was marked by a historic victory at Spa in a year when the established teams struggled due to new rule changes.

2010 marked Kimi's most exciting challenge yet – a move to the World Rally Championship where he competed for a second season in 2011 doing what he does best - driving flat out!

On 29 November 2011, it was announced that Kimi would be returning to Formula 1 in 2012, signing a two-year contract with Lotus.
