U.S. Housing Market in 2017 Has Struggles...What Are They?

Although the economy is doing well, housing is struggling with fear of low inventory ( afraid to sell & then not find a home), rising mortgage rates, housing prices have not all recovered in many areas and housing starts are not meeting demand in most areas. What is a potential seller or home buyer to do?

Buy down I say if you need to move is one option.

Home Buyers' Affordability Drops in Many Parts of the US

Yes, there are places people can move to in the south where you can buy more per square foot of living space than the Northeast. However, in many areas especially first time home buyers and those wanting to up size a bit can not afford to buy now. Prices are not the same as they were a few years ago and many buyers need to wait longer to buy.
