Was there for exactly two weeks. Two weeks that I will remember for a long time. Not because of the bad but because of the good. I choose to see the good in people and I met a lot of nice one's at Sportsman's. Some were down on their luck like I was and some just like to stay there. I made some friends that I will have for the rest of my life. I am proud to say I stayed at Sportsmans.

What can I say...staying at Sportsman's Royal Manor in Las Vegas is an experience, and definitely not for everyone. I do feel bad for those making a choice to stay based on their website, as it's far from a true representation. The grounds around the buildings are actually a mixture of dirt, trash, dog crap, empty drug baggies, syringes, malt liquor cans, and used condoms. Not the lush greens with fountains and sparkling pools as shown on their website. The room was fairly clean, at least on the surface. Tile was falling off in the shower, and the faucet continuously leaked. I informed the office about the wasting of water, but it was never fixed. In three months I never saw any roaches. However, the friendly scorpions living there may have been eating them. The room included a refrigerator, and small stove/oven, but no pots or dishes. The TV swiveled around on a pony wall/dresser that separated the "bedroom", not allowing for much privacy. I had basic cable, and 3 channels of HBO. But, there was no internet access, except for bad Wi-Fi at the bar. Panda Express across the street was much better. The couch was ripped to a point that I could have hid a few bodies under the cushions. At least then your butt wouldn't hit the floor when you sat down. The mattress was horrible and something that should not be legal for human use. I slept on the floor with the couch cushions, and I don't want to think about what was actually on them. Most people are not staying there for a vacation, the staff knows that so, they are not too concerned with customer service. I am sure a lot of the guests are difficult, but they shouldn't assume everyone is going to be an idiot. For example, I was told by a girl at the front desk that the 12% transient lodging tax still continues after 30 days. It doesn't. I brought this up to management and was told they actually pay the state of Nevada this tax through the 5th week, an extra five days. I find that very hard to believe. My receipt shows I paid that tax longer than required, and I would like a refund from Mr. Gary Brennan, also know as, King Futt's PFM LLC and the head honcho of good old Sporty's. All that being said, you are not paying for the Four Seasons, it's cheap shelter and you get what you pay for. Your neighbors will be drug dealers, prostitutes and people down on their luck. If you understand that and mind your own business you will survive, and probably have an experience you wont forget.

Place is trashed. Alot of bad things happen there always. 1 year of my life is traumatized forever. Jus over priced ghetto. I don't recommend it.

My wife and I stayed there in June and had a pretty nice time. The rooms were about average but the service was superb. Our sheets had a stain on them and they were quick to get them changed. I have never seen people move so quickly.

I was there for 4 years. The place is no 5 star hotel but its not supposed to be. It offers low weekly rates for those of us who don't have credit or have bad credit. It offers a place to stay for those of us who need a fully furnished room. I made some really good friends there over the years and it hurts me to see some of the negative reviews. There are some problems of course there will be especially in that part of town and considering the type of people these kind of places attract sometime. Look past those and you will see some great people just trying to make an honest living.

Cheap place to stay while I got my head on straight. Decent service too. Nice that the rooms were fully furnished so I didn't have to spend very much money on going out to eat. Not in the nicest part of town but as long as you keep to yourself you'll be fine. Worth the weekly rates.

I did not have much money which made staying in an apartment really hard. My credit also is not very good. I found Sportmans through a friend who said he had lived there and that they charge weekly and don't look at credit. My time at sportsmans was fine with the exception of the service which was very good. There were a few workers there that really made my day every single day. Always a smile on their faces no matter what the problem was. If I needed something fixed or done they were there either that same day or the next.

I feel blessed to have a roof over my head for my family. Its not about what you don't have, its about being greatful for what you DO HAVE. Many don't have what little my family does have.
