I'm pleased to announced that I've partnered with +Water Mission in a fundraising effort that will continue throughout my journey across the Pacific! Water Mission is non-profit engineering organization that builds and implements safe water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions for people in developing countries and disaster areas. Approximately 2,300 people die every DAY due to inadequate water and sanitation resources, making this a very important and worthy cause. Please help eliminate the water crisis by supporting Water Mission here:

Here's one week of food while at sea, with the exception of the full jars of Nutella or peanut butter. Those will last a little longer than a week. You can also see my reverse osmosis desalination pump ready to go. It's all coming together!

A view from inside the cabin the first two times we tried to flip her upside down. Good news - she didn't like being upside down and my harness works great. We identified a leaky antenna, but that's an easy fix!

This could be problematic. I have a little over 2 months to heal before my anticipated departure, which obviously concerns me. I was rowing on the Colombia River and decided to raise the hard top over the rowing area to look around. While standing, the right wind/wave combination knocked it over and took me with it. Definitely a humbling experience, knowing I might have to deal with something like this on my own out in the ocean.
