In my blog this week, I head down to the northeast corner of Cornwall to explore a new location, Gurnard's Head. This location features everything you would expect from the Cornish coast including the rugged coast, changeable weather, and a very strong wind! Read the story behind this image over on my blog at:

What happens when you combine landscape photography with wild camping? Well, that's just the question I wanted to answer so I decided to ask fellow photographer and experienced wild camper Gareth Danks to take me on my first wild camp. Eager to show me the benefits of wild camping Gareth recommended we head up the stunning Welsh mountain of Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons.

So did I enjoy the wild camping experience? Did it benefit my landscape photography? Watch my latest photography adventure video over on my blog to find out:

As a landscape photographer, you sometimes need to take a chance with the weather forecast and this is exactly what I did when I headed to Wheal Coates in Cornwall recently. Despite the poor weather when I got there, I still managed to capture this image of one of Cornwall's famous tin mines. If you want to know the story behind the images I took that evening then head on over to my blog at julianbaird.me

Sometimes landscape photography can be hard and this was certainly true of my most recent visit to Dartmoor in Devon. However, even when you are feeling creatively challenged, inspiration can appear to come from nowhere. Read the story of how I captured this image over on my blog at:

Discovery and exploration is an important skill to have if you are to develop as a landscape photographer. I'm trying to allocate more of my time for exploration and in the blog this week I tell you about how I discovered and created this image Gammon Head on the South West Coast Path. Read the story of this image, and see what I else I photographed by heading over to my blog at:

Who doesn't love Cornwall for photography? I'm just back from Godrevy Point where I captured this image of Godrevy Cove. I'm ashamed to say I haven't visited Godrevy for four years so it was interesting to see how the images from this visit compared to my visit in 2014. See all my images from my recent visit, those from 2014 and the story behind them over on my blog at:

I've been using Adobe Lightroom since version 3 and over the years I developed a workflow to manage my photographs from import to export. In my latest video, I share with you my workflow so you can see how I use Lightroom to import my photographs, select them for processing, keyword them, rate them and finally prepare them for export.

There are lots of different ways to do Digital Asset Management (DAM) in Lightroom, so my workflow is neither the right way or the wrong way, but hopefully by watching this video you'll take away some things you can put into you workflow.

Check it out here:

Every #landscape #photograph I take is unique to me and so I want to minimise the risk of data loss at every step. In my latest video, I'll share with you my entire backup workflow. I show you how I protect my data from the moment I press the shutter button up until the point I'm ready to format my memory cards again.

You can see the entire video over on my blog at:

Sometimes it's good not to make landscape photography your priority. In my latest video I head up Conic Hill near Loch Lomond to tell you why.

In my latest landscape photography video, I'm celebrating Britain's National Parks Week (#NationalParksWeek2018) by heading out to capture photographs of some of the country's finest National Parks. To make things a little more "interesting", I'll be heading to 3 different national parks, in 3 different countries, and all in one day! See how I got on in my latest video at

https://julianbaird.me/blog/2018/7/22/photographing-britains-national-parks

Remember, we are spoilt for choice for national parks in Britain and they provide some of the best opportunities for landscape photography anywhere in the world. So be sure to head out a national park during National Parks Week which runs between 22nd and 29th July 2018. You can find more info here:
